With the development of the national economy and the urbanization level, as a representative of the urban environment problem,ecological destruction is increasingly serious. The atmosphere and water resource pollution, the flooding of Municipal Solid Waste, crowded building , heavy traffic, urban heat land effect and resource depletion, a series of behavior that is bad at our environment brought about the environmental crisis, made the living ecological environment of people facing enormous threats. On the other hand, the rising of people's environmental consciousness and the Social economic level made it possible for people to seek ecological residential environment. Therefore,people is beginning to look for a new environment that is suitable for people living.This paper takes Meihekou, JiLin Povince for example, on the basic of expounding the concept of the ecosystem and the system characteristics,through analysis and combining the urban development characteristics and various existing problems of Meihekou,set up ecological community evaluation index system which is applicable to Meihekou, build up six aspects 28 ifactors,calculated the index weights by AHP.According to the evaluation system, we have evaluation the community ecological performance of sixteen typical community in Meihekou. Put forward six aspects to optimum Eco-community construction,including ecological carringcapacity, Eco-environmental, ecological architecture, infrastructure, Eco-cultural, dynamic development, and element level contains 24 factors, to provide the scientific basis for guiding and evaluation the Eco-community construction and programming management of Meihekou.
