The nanostructures of polyaniline are studied in the research. In cationic emulsion polymerization of aniline monomer in the presence of DTAB, APS as the oxidant, the polyaniline nanorods is obtained, which average diameter changes from 80 nm to 200 nm. The polyaniline nanorods obtained after 2h is characterized by XRD, and there is an evident peak at 2θ=6.4°. With the reaction is progressing, the peak disappeared, which is because the polyaniline grows the second time. The most part of the sample is amorphous, and has better thermostability than the polyaniline obtained after 8h.The flake-like polyaniline with different thickness is prepared in cationic emulsion polymerization of aniline monomer in the presence of cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide without any acid. The mechanism of the formation of flake-like structrue is discussed in the paper. The lamellar complex of (CTA)2S2O8 acts as a reactive soft-template for the formation of polyaniline. The concentration of cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide plays an important role of adjusting the d-spacing of soft-template. The X-ray diffraction pattern has a sharp peak at 2θ=6.4°(d-spacing=13.7 A), showing that polyaniline has a solid-state ordering structure and high crystallinity. The doping and dispersibility of polyaniline are also studied.Graphite oxide (GO) is prepared by Hummers method, and the dispersibility of GO is studied with different solvents, GO dispersion is more stabilized by using sodium p-styrenesulfonate (PSS) as a dispersing agent. The PANI/GO composite material is prepared in PSS with APS as oxidant. The morphology of composite material is observed by SEM, and polyaniline can be attached on the surface of graphite oxide well; in the high concentration of PSS (50mL HC1, PSS=0.08g), the composite material has better dispersibility. The existence of polyaniline and graphite oxide composite is proved by XRD; the CV curve is also investigated in different mass ratio of monomer and graphene oxide.
