Our country region is vast and geographical situation is complicated. With the rapid development of science and technology, the monitoring data of the hydrology need to be improved accordingly. In our country the GPRS network is widely covered, the monitoring of hydrology data can be transmitted through the GRPS. In order to gather different depth of stressed data, we need a control unit which can gather the datum from transmitter and transmit those data through GPRS module to the host data center. In this paper the author is mainly discusses C8051F040periodic activation,485bus master-slave networks, low power consumption, and put into further utilization in the coal-mining industry in details.According to the different functional unit, it is divided into data acquisition, control unit and the data center. The control unit of processing chip is C8051F040which produced by Silicon Labs company, this chip is based on the core51,which has the rich peripherals,internal function module and low power consumption characteristics.The control unit of power supplied by the two lithium battery, because the power supply is valuable outside, so required all of the chip with the characteristics of low power consumption.The control unit and all data acquisition transmitter form a master-slave network structure which based on the485bus. The C8051F040processor of the control of the chip unit gather the datum which contain water level, temperature, the voltage of the power form all the transmitter.The control unit connect with eight transmitter by default, each transmitter returned8byte including checking byte. When data acquisition is completed, the control unit need wait15seconds for the data which transmit from the data center, after that the control unit get into sleep mode. The control unit are also connected with GPRS module, the GPRS consumed energy and has power of launch function, those two factors has a major influence on the data of transmission correctly. The Communication structure use the digital isolation device to ensure that the data security.Data cycle settings and changes is mainly control by the peripheral low power consumption chip ISL1208, ISL1208has been in operation state. When the RTC corresponding the period or time, ISL1208wake up the CPU chip and make it into normal operating mode. After getting the data from data center, C8051F040write the next running time into ISL1208chip through the IIC bus.The control unit can be used for the power of scarcity situation:coal mine hydrological testing.Master-slave network communication was debugging through in the simulation software of proteus. Data transmission and the remote control unit of time or cycle was debugging through in the development board with the production of module (ISL1208and485interface), experiment of the results was satisfactory. Using the lower power consumption chip can make the power playing a greater efficiency. The main program of the transmitter debug in the development board.
