The Analysis Of The Development Of TCM Nursing Research In China

[Objective]To analyze the current status and developing trends of TCM nursing in China, this study takes TCM nursing literatures which the first author is Mainland Chinese researches published during 2000-2009 as research material, aims to provide reference for further research and development of TCM nursing.[Methods] All literatures related to TCM nursing were searched in the Chinese journal full-text database (CAJD), Chinese biomedical document database (CBM) and the WanFang database, then the area and journal distribution of the publication numbers, the status of author and scientific research funded situation were analyzed by bibliometrics method. In addition, the hotspot of TCM nursing 10 years were analyzed objectively by word frequency analysis method and co-word clustered analysis method with the subject terms of TCM nursing research recorded by CBM.[Results] Since 2000, number of TCM nursing research papers increases year by year. According to Bradford's law, it shows that the subject is in great development period. The area of TCM nursing researchers is in uneven distribution and most of researchers come from the traditional medicine hospital; the core authors are not formed and output of high yielding author's thesis need to improve; the papers are completed alone most and the rate of cooperating papers is low; only 2.57% of TCM nursing papers have fund and the percentage of fund theses in creases annually; the level of fund mainly are provincial and municipal. High yielding region of TCM nursing papers with fund are Guangdong, Shanghai, Hebei, Hubei, Hunan, etc; the main output unit for fund paper is hospital; the topics of fund papers are TCM clinical nursing, TCM nursing education, Chinese community nursing, TCM nursing management, TCM nursing theory and TCM basic nursing, the proportion of TCM clinical nursing is greatest. The kind of core journals of TCM nursing is eleven; TCM nursing literature are mainly published in other medical journals. Through word frequency analysis and co-word clustered analysis, it shows that the study hotspots of TCM nursing in 10 years mainly focuse on 6 themes, including nursing based on syndrome differentiation, quality of life of patient with diabetes, stroke rehabilitation nursing, TCM nursing management, TCM surgical nursing, TCM drug care.[Conclusion] TCM nursing is in great development period, number of research papers increase annually, but unbalanced development in various regions, research teams are unstable, number of fund paper is small, the research level and scientific research ability need to be further improved. From 2000 to 2009, the study hotspots of TCM nursing are nursing based on syndrome differentiation, quality of life of patient with diabetes, stroke rehabilitation nursing, TCM nursing management, TCM surgical nursing and TCM drug care.
