Objectives Using bibliometric methods and visualization systems, this study analyzed the domestic and international literatures in the field of clinical nursing, including the growth rule, research funds projects, author distribution, periodicals distribution, periodical countries/regions distribution, the frequency of terms/keywords, matrix or cluster analysis of high-frequency terms/keywords.We aimed to explore the current situation and trends about domestic and international clinical nursing, and to reveal the domestic and international hot spots in the field of clinical nursing research.Objects Considering the relatively large category of clinical nursing, this study chose the literatures in the field of disease-based clinical nursing.Because the research on clinical psychological nursing and clinical nursing of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) had been done this analysis, this study exclude the literatures in these field. The domestic literatures were obtained from 2007 to 2015 Wanfang Data in the field of clinical nursing. The international literatures were obtained from 2007 to 2015 Pub Med Data in the field of clinical nursing. The target document’s bibliography were obtained through retrieving the database. Methods Retrieving the related databases through retrieval types which are((((((((((((((((((((nursing[Me SH Subheading]) NOT psychology[Me SH Subheading]) NOT(“organization and administration”[Me SH Terms]))) NOT education[Me SH Terms])) NOT economics[Me SH Terms])) NOT history[Me SH Terms])) NOT ethics[Me SH Terms]))NOT nursing theory[Me SH Terms])) NOT Legislation[Me SH Terms])) NOT nursing process[Me SH Terms]))) NOT chinese[Language]) Filters:Publication date from2007/01/01 to 2015/12/31; Humans by Pub Med Data and "Subject:"( " nursing intervention") or keywords:( " psychological ")^title or keywords:( " TCM ")^title or keywords: "Chinese medicine nursing ")^title or keywords:( " massage care")^title orkeywords:("nursing management")^title or keywords:("nursing ethics")^title or keywords:( "nursing education") * Date: 2007-2015" by Wanfang Data, 85570 pieces of domestic clinical nursing literatures were obtained from Wanfang Data, 10374 pieces of international clinical nursing literatures were obtained from Pub Med Data. All of the data were analyzed by BICOMB and Excel. Basing on the three classical bibliometric laws, the domestic article analyzed literature number, research funds, author distribution, periodicals distribution, the frequency of terms/keywords, cluster analysis of high-frequency terms/keywords.The international article analyzed literature number, author distribution, periodicals distribution, languages, periodical countries/regions,the frequency of terms/keywords, cluster analysis of high-frequency terms/keywords. Social network analysis of co-word high-frequency terms/keywords were analyzed by Netdraw. Bicluster analysis were analyzed by g CLUTO software. Regression analysis were analyzed through SPSS statistical software. Charting was assisted by Excel.Results(1)The bibliometric analysis results of international literatures were as follows.Through regression analysis of international clinical nursing papers from 2007 to2015 Pub Med Data, papers growth equations were concluded, which were Y=1266x-2539947. The results showed that the papers quantity had very significant correlation with years having goodness of fit up at linear.Combined with the data result, international clinical nursing literature showed a trend of steady growth with year. The languages distribution showed that 10374 international clinical nursing papers drived from 2007 to 2015 Pub Med Data, the number of languages was 22,of which 8815 in English, accounting for 82.72%,following France and Germany. The periodicals distribution showed that 10374 international clinical nursing papers from 2007 to 2015 were published by 954 periodicals,of literatures number which top 16 periodicals was 3578, accounting for 1.68% in periodicals number, 33.31% in literatures number. There was 242 periodicals in nursing discipline, 692 periodicals in medicine discipline. The average rates of co-author were 49.38%,51.43%, 55.31% from 2007 to 2009,2010 to2012,2013 to 2015, respectively. The average degrees of co-operation were 1.97, 2.07, 2.16 from 2007 to 2009,2010 to 2012,2013 to 2015, respectively. The cluster analysis of high-frequency terms showed that the international hot spots in the field of clinical nursing research from 2007 to 2009 were natural childbirth/nursing,critical care/ nursing, dementia/nursing, neoplasms/nursing, wounds and injuries/nursing.the international hot spots in the field of clinical nursing research from2010 to 2012 were Obstetric nurse-patient relations,Stroke/nursing,neoplasms/nursing,wounds and injuries/nursing and Dementia/nursing.And the international hot spots in the field of clinical nursing research from 2013 to 2015 were wounds and injuries/nursing,HIV infections/evidence-based nursing, Obstetric nurse-patient relations,Alzheimer disease/nursing,dementia/nursing and Stroke /nursing.(2)The bibliometric analysis results of domestic literatures were as follows.Through regression analysis of domestic clinical nursing papers from 2007 to 2015 Wanfang Data, growth equations were concluded accordingly by SPSS statistical software. The results showed that the papers quantity had very significant correlation with years having goodness of fit up at S-curve. Combined with the data result, clinical nursing literature showed a trend of rapid growth with year. The research funds projects distribution showed that the 3900 papers derives from research funds from 2007 to 2015,accounting for 4.56% of total papers.390,1518,1653,papers derives from state-level, province-level, municipals-level research funds, accounting for 10%,38.92%,42.38% of total research funds papers, respectively. The main paper derives from province-level,municipals-level funds projects. The core periodicals distribution showed that literatures published core periodicals in shows a growing trend. The number were lower. Although the core author of the yearly increased in the number, but there was low proportion of core authors. The number of co-author and their literatures were 128041, 32636 from 2007 to2015. The average rates of co-author were 38.14%. The average degrees of co-operation were 1.50.The co-word analysis of high-frequency keywords showed that the domestic hot spots in the field of clinical nursing research from 2007 to 2009 were diabetes nursing, neoplasms nursing, elderly disease nursing, compliance after nursing intervention, quality of life after nursing intervention, stroke nursing, complications nursing, constipation nursing, hypertension nursing and chemotherapy nursing. The domestic hot spots in the field of clinical nursing research from 2010 to 2012 were diabetes nursing, neoplasms nursing, elderly disease nursing, quality of life after nursing intervention, complications nursing, hypertension nursing, preventive nursing research, perioperative nursing, compliance after nursing intervention and pain nursing.
