Objective: To investigate the plasma levels of Copeptin,MMP-2 in Kazakhs patients with heart failure and explore its relationship with cardiac funtion and muscle remodeling.Methods: The 90 Kazakhs patients with heart failure were analyzed as HF group and 30 patients without heart failure were served as control group. Every subject's measure blood pressure, body height, body mass and detect plasma Copeptin and MMP-2 by ELISA. Fasting plasma glucose(FPG), total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and so on were measured by the probation department. The parameters of left atrial diameter (LAD), left ventricle end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricle ejection fraction (LVEF), fraction shortening (FS) were detected with echocardiography. SPSS13.0 software was used to set up a database and statistical analysis.Results:â‘ Compared with control group, the plasma Copeptin levels of CHF group were significantly higher than control group (P<0.01). Copeptin levels also increased with the classification of NYHA(P<0.01).â‘¡The plasma MMP-2 levels of CHF group were significantly higher than control group (P<0.01). Among CHF group, NYHA IV group MMP-2 level was significantly higher than NYHAâ…¢group(P<0.01), NYHAâ…¢group was higher than NYHAâ…¡group (P<0.01). Although NYHAâ…¡group MMP-2 level was higher than NYHAâ… group, but there is no significant difference(P>0.05).â‘¢Correlation analysis revealed a correlation between Copeptin and MMP-2(r=0.392, P<0.01).â‘£The levels of Copeptin and MMP-2 positively correlated with LAD,LVEDD (all P<0.01), and was negatively correlated with LVEF,FS (all P<0.01). Multivariate stepwise regression analysis including age, gender, NYHA classification, LAD, LVEDD, LVEF, FS revealed that NYHA classification and LVEF were independent predictors to copeptin, NYHA classification and LVEDD were independent predictors to MMP-2.Conclusions:â‘ The concentration of copeptin was increased with NYHA grading of cardiac function in Kazakhs Patients with heart failure. It especially has a good indicator of the diagnosis in non-typical symptoms heart failure.â‘¡MMP-2 in Patients with heart failure is significantly increased, and it can reflect the cardiac structure and function.â‘¢Copeptin and MMP-2 levels can be severs as an sensitive index to diagnosing heart failure and evaluating cardiac function.
