Purpose:Domestic and foreign researchers generally believe that 23%-60% of stroke patients may show signs of depression and depression in patients with a certain degree of limb function and recovery of the ability of social life, which largely affected the post-stroke depression the recovery process. This clinical study selected patients with depression after stroke, acupuncture and ear acupuncture meridian observations combined treatment on the improvement of depression after stroke and the sequelae of stroke affect rehabilitation process in order to investigate the treatment of cerebral acupuncture sequelae of stroke more effective.Method:Select Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hubei Province from February 2009 to March 2010 between the inclusion criteria for this study and the exclusion criteria, outpatient and inpatient depression after stroke 64 patients, according to the order number of patients admitted to hospital,64 cases randomly divided into 2 groups, treatment group and control group,32 patients in each group. Cases including 64 cases of 34 males and 30 females, aged 47-72 years old (mean 61.3±9.4) years. The two groups in age, gender, disease duration, HAMD total score, neurological deficit score, the lesion, etc. There was no significant difference (P> 0.05). The second group were given conventional Western medicine for stroke treatment. The treatment group received treatment of body acupuncture and ear acupuncture, body acupuncture and control group received antidepressants Prozac (fluoxetine or fluoxetine hydrochloride,20mg/tablets, each serving one morning, once daily) oral treatment, needle thorn treatment (day 1, week 6 consecutive needle, needle 1 day). More than 4 weeks in each group are to 1 course of treatment. In addition to the provisions and the development of drug treatment, the observation period of Chinese medicine and western medicine other antidepressants were banned. Hamilton Depression Rating Scale with 24 items (Hamiltonn that ression scale for nepression, HAMD), modified Edinburgh-Scandinavian neurological impairment rating scale (Modified the Scandinavian Stroke Seale, MESS) on the situation before and after treatment comparison, while observing the security indicator (blood, urine, stool, ECG, liver, kidney function tests). SPSS13.0 software by using statistical data, measurement data using t test, x2 test with count data. Results: 1. The treatment group compared with the control group after treatment, Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) score, neurologic deficit score was significantly higher than before treatment decreased; scores between the two groups the first 4 weeks of treatment there were significant differences (P <0.01); clinical depression compared to total effective rate was 90.61% in the control group, the total effective rate was 68.75%, the statistical test, the difference was significant (x2= 4.73, P<0.05). Comparative efficacy of nerve function recovery, treatment group, the total efficiency of 84.38% in the control group, the total efficiency of 62.50%, by statistical analysis, with statistical significance (x2= 3.92, P<0.05). Safety Evaluation:The two groups during clinical trials, no adverse reactions and side effects.Conclusion:The clinical observation showed that the combination of auricular and body acupuncture has a good antidepressant effect, not found in the observation process of adverse reactions and side effects, with better security, in post-stroke depression has a good effect on the basis of and can promote neurological function in stroke rehabilitation of sequelae, the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus body acupuncture was better than antidepressant therapy, therefore, worthy of further exploration.
