Applying information technology in college English instruction has its superiority and validity. The potential of modern information technology for instructional design, which relies heavily on static and animated visualization, has attracted lots of instructional designers and educational practitioners. They have done a lot of research about how to use static visualization and animated visualization to improve the efficiency of English instruction and the differences between static visualization and animated visualization in the effects of improvement of the efficiency of English instruction and etc. So far, the previous researches conducted on the Instruction Efficiency animations mainly use Cognitive Theory to design the classroom instruction. And this research, from a different perspective, is constructed based on constructivist learning theory in information technology environment.In this experiment, 60 students are randomly selected and divided into two groups (1) an experimental group (N=30) that receive a new teaching model by using the model of improving the classroom efficiency combined with static and animated visualizations. (2) a control group (N=30) that receive traditional teaching methods. The experiment lasts half a year. The techniques used for data collection in the research include a questionnaire, a semi-structured interview, pre-test and post-test. After data collection, SPSS 16.0 software is used to make a quantitative analysis of the data. The result shows that there is a significance difference between the group who static visualization and animated visualization treatment and group who receive traditional teaching methods. And the application of the model of improving the classroom efficiency effective in college English instruction have indeed exerted a definite positive effect on the students' use of cooperation, collaboration and the interaction in learning English under the information technology circumstance . Animation visualization compare with static visualization provide learners with external illustrations, help them visualize knowledge,and thus improve their achievements. We should fully utilize the static and animation visualization and learning and teaching resources to carry out cooperative learning, collaborative learning and the interactive teaching etc, and try to compare, integrate, optimize and create learning methods and improve the efficiency of English teaching. At last the limitation and implication of the research are analyzed, and recommendation are put forward for future research.
