gallaox, or Dong songs with beautiful and elegant drum tower, structure-fascinating wind-rain bridge and artistic wonder initiated in Dong landscape, exuding fragrance of earth, has become one of the three cultural symbols.Gallaox has a long history, profound culture, complete music forms and unique aesthetic values. In Dong people's mind, it is extremly important and according the folk saying that"rice is for self-cultivation, Song is for heart". It reveals that Dong people take song the sum of traditional spirit, indicating the main cultural values of gallaox. National heritage, production of knowledge and moral standards are expressed through singing, which also reflects people's life and communicates emotions. It not only gives people art pleasure, but also becomes the moralizing carrier of national cultural heritage. However, historical changes have forced original arts and old traditions like gallaox to lose their traditional living space. How to glorify the ever-lasting gallaox, the national art wonder,is what this article is aimed for.The article is divided into four parts: introduction of gallaox,the status quo of gallaox, the inheritance crisis of gallaox,and protection of it. The origin,cultural connotation,inheritance model,inheritance crisis,protection and development of gallaox will be elaborated systematically with the purpose of serve as a modest spur to induce further and better protection of gallaox.
