The Research Of Wang Shizhen's Biography

Wang Shizhen was the "shenyun" poetic world hegemon at the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. He was not only an outstanding poet and the poem critic but also an outstanding biography creator. Wang Shizhen's biography creation including dispersing biographies and biographical chronologies.There were 152 articles of dispersing biographies, including in "Yuyang Anthology", "Canwei Anthology", "Canwei Continuing Anthology", "Collection Edits Loses". Apart from these, he also composed "Wang Kaogong Biographical Chronology" for his elder brother Wang Shilu, and "Yuyang Shanren Biographical Chronology" for himself,which was rare in his age. The thought of "Shenyun" was not only Wang Shizhen's poetry creation guiding principle, moreover it penetrated in his other literature activities. The influence in his biography work was also quite deep. Through careful combing, detailed explaination and grasping the character of Wang Shizhen's biography work, this article contacts "shenyun", which is the research clue, on studying the biography work comprehensively and thoroughly.The paper is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction, describing the research situation of Wang Shizhen and his work, combing the biography work which Wang Shizhen created, and systematically introducing this article's research mentality and research technique.The second part is the reasons for Wang Shizhen to create the biographies. The paper points out three reasons:the accumulation of historian accomplishment, the need of emotion expression and the reposing of personality ideal. These three reasons tally the process of Wang Shizhen's creating principles according to the personality to creating. The third part is the choosing of biography persons of Wang Shizhen's biographies. This is the key part of the paper. Wang Shizhen chose the persons by the principle which was near along with his nature. The tendencies which a person with loyalty, finality, chastity and righteousness, an official with honesty and care, a personality of getting along with people naturally and candidly, these three aspects are divided based on the personality tendency of Wang Shizhen. The fourth part is the style characteristic of Wang Shizhen's biographies. In this part,the article will deeply explains Wang Shizhen's biography work.The paper is based on three aspects which are materical selection to espress the meaning of the author's, discussion to be solid and language to be enthralled to analyze Wang Shizhen's biography literary style.The paper will combine the thought of "shenyun" with Wang Shizhen's classical Chinese literature creation theory, analyze the writing technique of Wang Shizhen's biographies.Based on these, The view of this paper is Wang Shizhen's biographies presents a style of "the vigorously, but is not crafty, smoothly, but is not vulgar", whic is the style characteristic of Wang Shizhen's biographies.
