The Title, Chapter Titles, Character Name And Related Textual Narrative Rhetoric Analysis Of Hoda's Muslim Funeral

Based on the novel title, the chapter titles and the names of characters, the thesis conducts the rhetorical analysis of Hoda's Muslim Funeral.It mainly does the study on these three questions and the related report of the narrative.The title "Muslim Funeral", which presets two attractive reading paths for readers, is the first to join in the narrative, and with the great impact of emotion, it frames the whole narrative structure of the text.Including rich rhetorical intension of Hoda, the naming system of the chapter names "Jade x" and "Moon x" further shows the narrative structure of the text, which also gives readers an access to the general direction of the story as soon as they read it.The rhetorical design of the text penetrates into the characters'naming through the characters'name like Moon or Jade and it unifies the whole text to the maximum.With the relevant theory of generalized rhetoric and the related knowledge narratology, this essay follows the thoughts of which analyzes the whole rhetorical design from the words.
