Attributional style is the general way people explain their own and others behavior which is formed in daily life. Attributional style has significant influence on people's recognition and understanding. Modern attributional theory creatively linked with the research of motivation, the influence of attributional style on motivation and behavior attract the researchers'interest .Learning adaptability refers to some kind of ability which helps individuals overcome difficulties and make positive adjustment according to environment change, finally getting better outcomes. The situation of learning adaptability influences students'mental and physical development and academic success, even affects their confidence and desire for the future. Whether or not attributional style influence learning adaptability? This study selected 415 student (Junior One to Junior Two) who are learning in private school from Nanjing, Zhangjiagang, wuxi as targets, and 158 city children as match group. This study use the questionnaire of learning adaptability and the Multidimensional–multiattributional causality scale as tools, exploring the feature of migrant children's attributional style and learning adaptability and trying to find the interactive mechanism of these two variables, finally to lay a theoretical basis for helping them adapt to municipal Learning environment effectively..The research results are as follows:(1) There is significant difference in attributional style between migrant children and urban settlers'children, migrant children are more likely to attribute success or failure to ability.(2) By analyzing the attributional style of migrant children concretely, this study finds that boys are more likely to attribute failure to external factors, students of Junior one and Junior two prefer to attribute success to efforts, while students of Junior three are more likely to attribute failure to efforts .students of Junior two and Junior three are inclined to attribute success to fate, students of Junior two prefer attribute failure to ability. Not the only child tend to attribute failure to efforts .The migrant children who have a short time of studying in city are likely to attribute failure or success to external factors. (3) Compared with the urban settlers'children, migrant children have a better situation on reading and note-taking method , home environment.(4) By analyzing the learning adaptability of migrant children concretely, this study finds that girls adapt better than boys, students of Junior two and Junior three have a better situation on reading and note-taking method, learning technology ,examination method, friendship. Students of Junior two adapt better than students of Junior one and Junior three on learning plan, observation methods, home environment, learning environment. Not the only child has a better situation on friendship and independence than the only child. The migrant children who have a longer time of studying in city adapt well in city.(5) There is a close relationship between attributional style and Learning adaptability(6) Attributing success to one's ability or efforts and attributing failure to sluggishness can positively predict learning adaptability, while attributing success to fate and attributing failure to ability, fate and environment negatively predict .
