A Research On Life Events, Resiliency And Coping Style Of Migrant Workers' Children And Left-behind Children

This study uses empirical methods to resilience as a core variable, life events as stressors, from the perspective of positive psychology with Chinese characteristics, two types of disadvantaged children - children of migrant workers and children left behind life events, resilience and coping style. The characteristic and relationships, and structural equation model testing the elasticity of life events and coping style mechanisms between. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Two children in the overall incidence of life events does not exist significant differences, the highest incidence of all second year students; left-behind children adapt to life events, health and higher in children of migrant workers; children of migrant workers and children left behind in interpersonal relationships, punishment, learning stress, health and other life events and adaptation on both the difference in grade, the highest incidence of two students.(2) The resilience of Migrant Workers'children is higher than the left-behind children. Children of migrant workers resilience between the sexes, girls'active in cognition, interpersonal helping was significantly higher than boys. Children left behind there is no gender difference in mental flexibility;(3) The majority of migrant workers have encountered difficulties in their children can first use of positive, rational problem-solving coping style; most difficult in the face of left-behind children by the first patient, avoidance coping style; children of migrant workers with problem solving, seek help, avoidance coping style was significantly higher than that of children left behind; children of migrant workers in response to the way gender difference was not significant, left-behind children more boys than girls coping with illusions;(4) Two types of life events for disadvantaged children, resilience and coping style were significantly related; two types of life events for disadvantaged children, resilience are predictors of coping styles.(5) Children of migrant workers life events, resilience and coping style of structural equation model fitted well. Fully mediated resilience. Encounter difficulties, through the intermediary role of psychological flexibility, tend to select positive coping styles; children left behind life events, resilience and coping style of the general structural equation model fitting, since part of the intermediary role of psychological flexibility. Encounter difficulties, through the intermediary role of psychological flexibility, more inclined to adopt positive coping styles, and sometimes with negative coping style.
