As the rapid development of economy, the secondary vocational education has become one ofthe essential parts of modern education, because it has devoted a lot to improving the laborers'quality and economic development. As we all know that the secondary vocational schools are aimedto educate skilled talents who can work in the production line, the quality of secondary educationalstudents has a great deal with that of Chinese labors. However, from the current situation, we havenoticed that the psychological health level of secondary vocational students should be paid moreattention. From the statistics of juvenile psychological health forum which was held in2002, wefound that16to25.4percent of secondary vocational students are facing mental maladjustment. Atthe same time, the number of students who leave school because of mental problem is rising year byyear. As a special group, most of the vocational students are forced to choose Secondary Professionaldue to the failure of rising exam to senior high school. After going to the secondary vocationalschool, the students have experienced great changes in living environment, interpersonal relationship,person identity and life goal, all of which would disorganize their psychological balance. Meanwhile,the teenagers are undertaking the most erratic period of psychology, including the drastic mentalchange, the most mental perplexity and conflict. From all above, the mental health education ofsecondary vocational education students have been of a great urgency not only to the vocationaleducationalists, but also to the whole society. As an important part of education for all-rounddevelopment, the mental health education is also a significant part of great education system. Themental health education of secondary vocational education should be carried out with thecooperation between school, family and the whole society. For the satisfied effect of mental healtheducation can only be reached by the coordination, rational allocation and interaction among school,family and society.In this situation, this essay is based on the mental health education of secondary vocationaleducation students. It has researched the mental health education of secondary vocational educationschool, expounded the connotation of mental health, mental health education and mental healthstandard, and explicated the differences and relation between mental health education and moraleducation. This essay has also recognized the target, task and function of mental health education aswell as the necessity and urgency of the current mental health education of secondary professionalstudents. During the research of current situation and problems in the mental development ofsecondary professional students, this essay has also considered the feature of secondary professionalstudents' mental development on depression, self-esteem, study, occupation choosing andinterpersonal communication with the method of documentary analysis, survey statistics and analysis.It has proposed the countermeasure of the mental health education of secondary professional fromthe aspects of school, family, the society and the students themselves. At last, I do believe thatChinese mental health education of secondary vocational will have a bright future by analyzing thecurrent situation of domestic mental health education and taking examples from developed countriessuch as Japan, Europe and America.
