| Baudrillard was a famous contemporary French social theorist,and he dealt with a wide range of research fields. Although Baudrillard has never been specifically written on the art, but art has always been an important aspect of his work.Baudrillard was far from the mainstream, and paid attention to art with his own perspective:as object.The theory of art object is the weapon of criticism of contemporary art, and the basis of prediction of artistic development trends. Not only does the theory of art object reflects the unique perspective of Baudrillard's insights on art, but also provides theoretical basis for understanding contemporary artistic practice.In the consumer society and simulacrum culture,this thesis analyzes Baudrillard's artistic theory with the perspective of object and discusses what the art will be change.The first chapter introduces art object in Western art theory,analyzes the essential features and meanings of art object. Representation claimed art object trends to truth through the lifelike and loyal description;Expression asserted art object lays stress on direct expressing of the subject's emotion by ways of transforming reality object;The theory of aesthetic autonomy proclaimed art object highlighted its own form so as to alienation of the the real world to save the modern society. Therefore, art object was an philosophical or aesthetics concept. The second chapter probes new form of art of the1960s, especially the pop art, a serious challenge to the traditional theory of art object.Baudrillard focus on his analyses of contemporary art from the perspective of object and points out the embarrassment of pop art. The third chapter discusses the theory of art object as theoretical weapon for criticism of contemporary consumer and proposed vicious characteristic of art object in the consumer culture and simulacrum culture:kitsch, value differences, virtual, implosive. The fourth chapter elaborates that Baudrillard's reflection on art object is the response to new forms of contemporary art,as well as the subversion of traditional art theory, his thought is not a constructive one,and has its limitations and one-sidedness. |
