Guan Sheng landslide is located in Xinping Country of Yunnan Province, whichis one of typical precipitation-induced landslides. It formed in1990s. After itsformation, it had been engaging in a slowly creep deformation. If the landslide takesplace, it will make the State Road S312interrupted. Furthermore, it may cause trafficjams and damage to life and property safety. Also it may transform into debris flowsinto the river, blocking a river. Every rainy season, Guan Sheng landslide occurs thedifferent shapes of the deformation, once the sliding surfaces link up, it may cause theoccurrence of landslide. Therefore, it is very significant to effectively and promptlystudy and analyze the occurrence of the landslide.By analyzing the geological reconnaissance data and the deformed features ofthe landslide, the stability of Guan Sheng slide is studied by the limit equilibriummethod and numerical simulation method, and then it proposed an treatment scheme. The main works in this paper are as follows:1.Based on the analyses on the geologicalsurvey data of Guan Sheng landslide, the configuration and characteristics of thelandslide are knew, and in turn the influence factors and formation mechanism of thelandslide are discovered.2. By using the limit equilibrium method to calculate thestability of main profile and time profile, The results show that, under the naturalcondition the landslide is stable and in rainstorm the landslide is unstable.3.Numerical simulation analysis on the stability of Guan Sheng landslide are carried outby means of FLAC software. It will analyze the most prone to shear failure region, aswell as the influence of the water level elevation on landslide stability.4. Drainageand irrigation system to prevent Guan Sheng landslide are posed by means of thequalitative and Quantitative analysis.
