The Research Of The Main Functional Region Planning Based On GIS In The Shanghai Coastal Area

With the developing research of main functional region planning and GIS technology support, the main functional region planning of the special regions is causing interesting of experts and scholars gradually, and becoming the research focus. Because of the particularity of the ecological environment, how to reasonable exploitation and protect this kind regions are increasingly becoming important. And main functional region planning is service for how to develop economy conditionally, confirm the future development direction, realize the reasonable industry layout by guiding resource, population and other production elements. So it has a very special significance to carry out main functional region planning for the special regions.The main functional region planning has a high degree of complexity, and its index system covers resources, environment, economy, population, science and education, etc. So it is difficult at the data acquisition, management and analysis. But the appearance of the GIS technology offers a great convenience for the implementation of the main functional region planning. This paper, with the support of GIS, through the system analysis for the study area, first confirms the research unit according to index choosing, and constructs the index system of the main functional region planning for the Shanghai and its coastal area. Then the paper through the data visualization, researches of the spatial distribution features of the index and divide it into the high, medium and low three levels, then determines the membership of each data for different levels and gets evaluation matrix, then give a weight by the hierarchical analysis in the Matlab software for every index. At last we get membership of each study areas for the resources-environment carrying capacity, the existing development density and future development potential by the comprehensive evaluation method and finally it attribute to the level which the value is the maximum. According to the combination type table we get the result of the main functional region planning.The paper gets the following results:the key development zones in land include Pudong New Area, PuTuo, MinHang, BaoShan, JiaDing and SongJiang; the optimizing development zones are HuangPu, LuWan, XuHui, ChangNing, JingAn, ZhaBei, HongKou and YangPu; JinShan, QingPu, FengXian and ChongMing belong to limitative development zone. In addition, the coastal areas of Pudong New Area and FengXian are the key development zone; the coastal areas of BaoShan and JinShan belong to the optimizing development zone; the limitative development zone is the coastal areas of ChongMing. The results show that the spatial statistical and analysis functions of GIS can provide the powerful technical support for the main functional region planning. The main functional region planning is able to make a comprehensive evaluation for the study unit; there is great significance to coordinate regional development.
