Psychological Impact On Scientific And Technical Innovation By Chinese Traditional Culture

The social environment of traditional Chinese society was autarky in farmingeconomy, closed in geographical conditions and was long-term ruled by thepatriarchal and academic regime. These unique living environments, economicfoundations and historical milieu, which lead to the special factor of the Chinesetraditional cultural psychology, had branded "Shang He"(means seeking harmony andunity in universe),"face", and "human relationship" on the Chinese people.Traditional cultural psychology had some good effect on our science and technologyinnovation and innovative ability, but with the improvement of society and thedevelopment of technology, the dross and defect of traditional culture psychology hasbeen more and more hindering the contemporary development of our scientific andtechnological innovation ability.First, in this paper, the formation of the Chinese traditional cultural psychologyand the condition of domestic scientific and technological innovation ability areanalyzed, and the differences in Cultural Psychology between China and the West arecompared. Second, mentality of "Shang He" of the Chinese traditional culturalpsychology, traditional mode of thinking and the evaluation of "face" and "humanrelationship" on the consciousness, thought and technology of scientific andtechnological innovation are stated based on the analysis of science and technologyinnovation and innovative ability.
