The Liaozhong depression located in the middle of the Liaodong Bay waters, it isa halfgraben sag with east of fracture and west of overlap, as well as important one ofa Confirmed hydrocarbon-enriched depression. Oil and gas resource of Liaozhongdepression,even Bohai bay region had formly been evaluated repeatedly, the finalresults is less than ideal and have many problems.This research mainly through themodern geochemical methods and means, Combined with existing new data andresults to study quality of effective hydrocarbon source rocks, distribution andevolution. Using geochemical material balance method (genetic method) and thelatest experimental simulation techniques in evaluating resource potential of the threehydrocarbon source rocks of Ed3, Es1and Es3,and therefore clear the favorableexploration blocks to services for the exploration and decision-making in the future.The development of Kongdian, Shahejie and Dongying Formation in thePaleogene of Liaozhong depression, whose hydrocarbon source rocks areEd2L,Ed3,Es1and Es3. Evaluation of their abundance of organic matter, type andmaturity through analysis rock pyrolysis parameters, kerogen microscopy, vitrinitereflectance and so on, gives the result that Ed3,Es1and Es3are effective source rocks.Ed3is good source rocks,it Contain high organic carbon, and the high frquencydistribution of chloroform bitumen A and total hydrocarbon content,hydrocarbonpotential index performance medium,meanwhile,hydrocarbon source rocks is in lowmature stage at the high construction, on the contrary, is in low maturity-peak oilstage. Three Effective source rock kerogen type in the Liaozhong depressed are mainof Ⅱ1and supplemented by Ⅱ2. Abundance of organic matter is of Es1and Es3distributed in good-excellent level of source rocks in addition to north low-lying,furthermore,they showed excellent oil source conditions and higher oil andgas conversion rate from the chloroform bitumen "A" and the total hydrocarboncontent. The high evolution of Es1source rocks is in low maturity-peak oil stage andable to form normal mature crude oil,so it is Secondary source rocks in the region.The main Source rocks of Es3is in Peak oil period,which able to form abundantmature oil,so it is main source rocks that can form normal crude oil in the region.Use genetic method to evaluation oil and gas resources when calculate theamount of resources. The study of hydrocarbon yield quote thermal simulation curvethat is Es3source rocks in Liaohe west depression to research characteristics ofhydrocarbon. Using hydrocarbon potential method to research expulsioncharacteristics that Include hydrocarbon expulsion threshold,expulsionefficiency,expulsion rate and so on.Research of hydrocarbon migration andaccumulation characteristics on the basis of geological conditions and quantitativescoring about basin evaluation,the specific practices is to choose relatively highdegree of exploration of the Huanghekou Sag as a anatomical scale area,andreasonable access to the oil and gas accumulation coefficient of the study area bycomprehensive quantitative evaluation of geological conditions about Liaozhongdepression be compared with Huanghekou depression.At the last,from theseparameters we can calculate different low-lying’s oil and gas amount in the Liaozhongdepression and obtain result of the hydrocarbon generation amount,expulsionamount,resources abundance values and so on.The Liaozhong depression qualify hydrocarbon-enriched depression formedthe basic geological conditions,and reasonable select three parameters Amount thatInclude amount of resources,resource abundance and proved reserves as indicators onthe basis of previous research to establish the evaluation criteria for hydrocarbondepression of the Bohai Bay Basin.Obtained Liaozhong depression comply with thestandard evaluation system of hydrocarbon-enriched depression,which is extremelyhydrocarbon-enriched depression.
