Non-engineering attention in the context of flood control is being more given. Thereis some practical significance in flood control decision-making with in carrying outdisaster assessment system of research. We can use the results of dam outburst floodanalysis to develop appropriate hedging measures or develop appropriate plans to providesecurity for the reservoir downstream of the people and make them timely transfer theirproperty to a safe place to minimize disaster losses. Therefore, the dam-break floodanalysis and damage assessment has become a very important issue.This paper summarizes the results of international dam-break flood damageassessment model, using ArcGIS software to build spatial grid object, combined with DSevidence fusion theory, uniting the regional spatial properties of geographic informationand socio-economic, making use of ArcObject component to secondary development intoinformation fusion for grid properties and uncertainties,as a result,we get Shule Riverregion dam-break flood damage assessment level effects and analysis maps. Divided intothe following sections:Firstly, we explore the spatial grid object, and spatial grid object can be dividedaccording to Shule River region vector maps and DEM data. While discussing theinformation of spatial geographic and socio-economic attributes within spatial grid objectin more details.Secondly, we introduce the principles of geographic information systems and typicallythe ArcGIS family of software, as well as the introduction of the secondary developmentof ArcObject component. At the same time, buliting on the platform and programming arealso described, combined with disaster assessment system and Shule regional spatialdatabase system.Thirdly, Introducing the principle of information integration theory, the basic theoryof DS evidence, and the information integration of spatial grid object properties, as well asthe summary and writing of information fusion algorithm based on grid object properties.Then, we do visual simulation for the information fusion result of regional disasterlosses to get damage assessment level effects and analysis maps, and analyse the merits of information fusion algorithm based on DS evidence theory combined with the regionaldistribution of disaster losses over the simulation maps,therefore provide some guidancefor decision-making and damage assessment.Finally, we summarized and discussed the work of the paper.
