Applying petrology, mineral deposit geology, rock stratigraphy,exploration geology, andother basic principle, according to the route geological survey, actual geological profile as wellas the typical mineral points and mineralize points of research information, Yixian formation isdivided into five eruption cycles, illustrates the genetic types of agate in volcanic rocks ofwestern Fuxin region—secretion body shape, fracture filling type of agate, secondaryenrichment type of agate and its characteristics,the research area agate metallogenic regularitiesobtained as follows: The layer controllability of the agate in Yixian formation is clear,they aremainly originated in the eruption cyclesⅠandⅡ;The agate forming mineral is controlled bygeological structure, the long axis of mineral points and mineralize points distribution area isNEE (local for nearly EW), and the fracture filling type of agate pulse body to more focused on340°-9°range; conducive to the occurrence of ore rocks in turn is andesitic melaphyre andrelated cryptovolcanic clastic rocks, basaltic andesite and volcanogene clastic rocks. On thisbasis, points out that vein type ore body is the future agate prospecting’s main goal, and asandesitic melaphyre and related cryptovolcanic clastic rocks, volcanic breccia and volcanicagglomerate as the key exploration object.
