| Corrosion has been the most common damage of materials for steel structure. Every year, the loss of metal structure, facilities and materials can equal 10-20% of the current steel production in our country due to the corrosion. The economic loss caused by the corrosion is about 4% of GNP. Therefore, with the active development of steel structure, the research on its corrosion and prevention, which turns out to be of remarkably practical significance, has been increasingly concerned in the engineering home and abroad. In this paper, in view of the philosophy of project management planning, we take an analysis of the basis, context, contents and methods of steel structure project governance, associated with a case of a steel plant, which is about the control and prevention project.(1)The corrosion prevention and control plan should base on national, trade and local industry development policy, environmental protection requests, project technology conditions, development advantages, technology standards, specifications and regulations. Due to the speciality of the technology conditions of corrosion prevention and control for steel structure, only after the research of its corrosion mechanism, corrosion environment and processing technic, can we put forward a feasible technical treatment.(2)The corrosion control plan involves of technical, organizational, financial, economic and environmental factors. Combined with its characteristics, the keys of corrosion prevention are making out technical scheme, preparing the fund needed in advance, organizing the project team, clarifying the target and content, and following up the plan of action.(3)In the case of steel plant, the technical context of project control mainly contains two aspects: one is the cause and handling ways of the problem, the other is the performance and extent of the problem.(4)Based on WBS method of project management, we analyze the composition of corrosion control work for steel structure, which mainly includes the investigation and evaluation of corrosion, the confirmation of anti-corrosion plan and materials, the design of anti-corrosion and the control of construction quality, etc.In this paper, we analyze various kinds of anti-corrosion ways and its anticorrosion mechanism, characteristics and usable conditions. The anti-corrosive coating technology and materials for steel structure are discussed here. What’s more, the paper points out some items to be noticed in the anti-corrosive coating design and construction of steel structure with the case of anti-corrosion engineering of a steel structure workshop.Due to the influence of subtropical humid climate and the pollution of industrial atmosphere, great amount of exhaust gas, vapor and dust in addition which are produced when coking, sintering, puddling, steel-making, steel-rolling are done, the steel structure of steel plant is in a state of high dust, high humility and high corrosive concentration all the year round. The extent of corrosion is seriously grave. This paper focuses on the survey of anti-corrosion conditions of every kind of pipe(mainly for gas pipe, water pipe), elevated vestibule, steel roof of the plant(mainly for blast furnace tapping plant, steel making workshop), gas tank, 4 main coke oven vehicles, etc. Then, we evaluate the corrosion environment of various production area and make a classification of corrosion. We make out appropriate corrosion protection design for steel structure and related construction procedures, and recommend corresponding barrier materials. The results of adhesion test for anti-rot materials and accelerated exposure test in an industrial simulation way show that, both the barrier materials recommended and the design are available, feasible.The targeted research result is quite effective to lengthen the service life of steel structure plant, reduce the economic loss caused by corrosion and ensure production safety, which turns out to be signally economic value and social effect. Meanwhile, it has much reference for corrosion prevention and control of other metallic facilities. |
