In the recent years, the worldwide concentration of oil&gas development in the ocean transfers to the deep sea. Therefore, the Floating Drilling Production Storage and Offloading system (FPDSO), as a new type of ocean engineer equipment to develop the oil field in South China Sea, attract more and more attention in our country. The shaking of the drilling vessel caused by wind&wave load not only makes the worker feel uncomfortable but also disturbs the normally drilling and producing which may decrease the work efficiency and safety.This thesis reviews some background knowledge that includes definition of function, structures, operating principle, drilling and extracting method of FDPSO which is in service and under construction. Then, the arrangement of the whole FDPSO and the heave compensation of drilling platform are discussed in chapter two.In Chapter two to four, three strategies are used to analysis and valid the operating principle and crucial problem involving mechanics regarding FDPSO-TLD.The three strategies include:1. Theoretical analysis:In chapter two, the dynamical equation of FDPSO-TLD system is established bases on the simplified model of TLD to analyze the dynamic response of TLD system to the loads caused by heave and rolling of the hull. The precise integration method is used in solving the dynamical equation, and the solution provides reference to the dynamic analyze of FDPSO-TDL system.2. Virtual prototype simulation:In chapter three, the concept and the application of virtual prototype are introduced briefly at first. Then, virtual prototype technique is applied to the design of the FDPSO-TLD, and the dynamic compensation problem is analyzed under different excitations and amplitudes condition. Further research proving the correctness of FDPSO’s working principle. Some conclusions are obtained according to the virtual prototype simulation.3. Prototype test:to deal with the defects of FDPSO in tank test, Prototype test is designed and applied. The size and physical quantity of the prototype is scaled base on the theory of similarity. In addition, for the purpose of real time measurement and analysis, a test system is established.The effectiveness and feasibility of the above three strategies is verified through comparison with the experimental results.
