The cold rotary forging used in straight tooth bevel gear is an advanced technique which used in gear processing. It has a good many merits, such as high material utilization, high productivity, low manufacturing cost, high gear mechanical property, high service life and high forming dimensional accuracy etc. It widely applied in gear processing.Temperature changes which are common in the metal forming affect forming quality, forming accuracy of the workpiece and life of the mold. Because the plastic deformation of the workpiece and the friction between the workpiece and the mold will produce heat, while hot forging and warm forging has considered the impact of heat, but previous research the affect of forging heat is rarely. The study of forming process temperature system in cold rotary roll for straight tooth bevel gear not only enrich the rotary roll process theory, but also have some guiding significance in the actual production.According to the gear parts and rotary roll mold, using Three-dimensional modeling software UG and PRO/E to mode part and mold, it can get the straight tooth bevel gear rotary forging forming molds and part model, which provides the basis for forming process of finite element simulation analysis. Based on the rigid-plastic and finite element temperature field theory, rotary roll of straight bevel gears forming finite element analysis model established, the rotary roll forming process of straight bevel gears simulation analysis would be on finite element simulation software DEFORM-3D. On the basis of straight bevel gear rotary roll process,using finite element analysis of metal flow pattern and tooth filling law in the shape of straight bevel gears, it summed up the straight bevel gear cold rotary roll forming of the workpiece and the mold temperature distribution and variation; By ignoring the temperature and consider the finite element simulation of the temperature model to contrast analysis revealed the existence of the temperature of rotary roll forming process of stress-strain and load influence; If we change the parameters of rocker feed speedã€the friction coefficient and so on, there will be some influence and variation on the workpiece and the die temperature distribution.The results show that the workpiece and the die temperature changes in the cold rotary roll of straight bevel gear forming process are obvious, selection of different process parameters will also affect the distribution of the temperature field, temperature changes have an impact on the stress and strain and load in the forming process, inevitable it also be affect the forming accuracy of the workpiece. Therefore, changes in temperature of the cold forming process of high-precision parts must pay sufficient attention. |
