With the rapid development of China’s iron and steel industry, iron ore sintering as an important part of steel production, The technical and economic indicators are directly affecting the steel industry benefits, energy-saving and consumption-an important task of each enterprise. Current air leakage of sintering machine in40%-60%, air leakage rate increases the power consumption and the loading of the main fan, and have an impact on the quality of sinter minerals.Through the analysis of air leakage of sintering phenomena, On-line soft measurement of air leakage is realized by using calorimetric method. Through the analysis of heat transfer, mass transfer of sintering process, building mathematical model to obtain the calorimetric method before the air leakage in gas temperature values, experimental verification of sintering glass, its exact rate is91.3%.Through the analysis of sintering machine primary air leakage parts, according to its own characteristics, air leakage sites are divided into four categories:sintering machine’s nose and tail air leakage, bellows air leakage, material layer air leakage and trolley air leakage.Building air leakage location diagnosis expert system, soft-sensing model of air leakage on calculation results is diagnosed, and according to air leakage sites static leakage, moving point air leakage, periodicity and continuity can reflect their characteristics, by analysis of abnormal causes, given appropriate measures, providing guidance field production.Using visual C++2003programming language, combined with the ACCESS database programming technology, developed on-line soft-sensing model and diagnostic expert system of air leakage rate during sintering. Through a simulation of production data, the software can diagnose the abnormal air leakage and giving cause analysis of parts and specific, shows that online soft measurement of air leakage of sintering and diagnostic expert system of diagnosis strategy is basically reasonable, knowledge and reasoning mechanism is appropriate.
