With the development of society, the people to demand more and more mechanicalmanufacturing. Axial parts of mechanical structure as an important part of the brunt. Lengthand diameter ratio of more than20shaft are usually called slender shaft, this kind of partsappear in all walks of life, in production in the life has a very wide range of applications. Butturning of long&thin shaft processing precision is difficult to improve, because it has thequite big length-diameter ratio, in cutting process under the effect of cutting force it is easy toproduce vibration lead to bending deformation, and therefore of slender shaft turningprocessing as a process problem is well known. With the development of society, theimprovement of science and technology, manufacturing industry especially high precisiondemand such as aviation industry axial parts processing precision demand more and more, theexperience of the traditional method of machining accuracy and is hard to meet the productionefficiency of dual requirement, so to find a solution to the problem of long&thin shaft turningprocessing breakthrough are particularly important.This paper discusses the impact of long&thin shaft processing main factors, such asradial cutting force, optimizing the amount, and the feed back into to speed, etc. Secondlyaccording to these factors, the finite element simulation software to simulate slender shaftturning, such as: using ansys slender shaft modal and transient analysis, according to itsvibration mode to take appropriate error compensation and shock absorption process; Usingdeform of long&thin shaft for turning simulation, the change in the speed, volume,optimizing the turning factors such as feed, it is concluded that the simulation results,influence factors and turning the results obtained the corresponding relationship, and toestablish the database. And then based on the finite element simulation of provide samplesimulation data, and by using the neural network optimization theory, data processing inmatlab, and forecast turning effect.This paper using Solid works a three dimensional cutting model, based on the finiteelement simulation software of long&thin shaft turning to the multiple perspectives, manyfactors, many simulated, draw a large amount of data, establish simulation database, obtainedin the process of cutting process data and the relationship between the various processparameters and save a lot of time and manpower material resources, to understand themechanism and improve the quality of cutting.
