In modern industrial enterprises, the belt conveyor is the production processconsisting of rhythmic flow transport line indispensable part. With the belt conveyor in thenational economic departments in an increasingly wide range of applications, in recentyears industrial development trends make the belt conveyor to long distance, high speed,large capacity development, non stable operating conditions affect the dynamiccharacteristics are ignored, the traditional belt conveyor design method can not meet thepractical engineering need. In this paper, the hardware in the loop simulation technology isapplied to the belt conveyer system simulation, for belt conveyor system simulation andresearch to establish a simulation experimental platform. Compared with pure digitalsimulation, hardware in the loop simulation retained the prototype system part ofthe hardware, it can reflect the actual performance of the system.In this paper, the hardware-in-the-loop simulation system mainly consists of real-timesimulation model, communication and PC monitor system is composed of three parts.Simulation model mainly comprises a conveying belt model, vector control system ofinduction motor model; belt conveyor model and WinCC monitoring system ofcommunication using OPC protocol, to meet the needs of the hardware in the loopsimulation real time WinCC and PLC communication using the Ethernet communication;monitoring system designed by WinCC configuration software, including the simulation ofstarting and stopping, model parameters and simulation results show that the interface.The paper based on the hardware in the loop technology and contrast, and thus givesbelt conveyor system hardware in the loop simulation platform architecture. And establishbelt conveyor system simulation model and the vector control system of induction motorsimulation model based on the SIMULINK. And in the in depth study of the OPCspecification and COM technology based on OPC foundation, use the OPC data accessstandard, the combination of Matlab7.0and WinCC configuration software to develop thebelt conveyor of the hardware in the loop simulation platform, PLC is used as the controllerof the system, can realize the belt conveyor control system simulation and controller designand test. OPC DA technique here is mainly used to simplify the model and controller andconfiguration software in communication design, while providing standard data accessinterface, convenient model upgrade. The simulation experimental results show that the design of the simulation platform for belt conveyor system can supply a good test platformfor controller design and performance testing.
