With the development of modern manufacturing technology, stamping production technology turns to more high-speed and automated as well as flexible than before. Traditional production methods, such as manual operation and manual transfer, cannot meet the requirements of fast development in industry[4]. In production, robot-hands are used to form automatic production units or flexible automatic production lines instead of manual operation and manual transfer. It is an effective way to enhance the efficiency and quality for stamping production. It is also an important development direction for stamping production technology.Air conditioner is a necessary household electrical appliance in modern life. According to relevant data, the output of air conditioner in whole China has reached139,000,000from January to December in2011[5]. The side panel of air conditioner is a critical piece which leads to the high demand in output. The stamping working procedure includes five steps which are side scrap, punching, kerf, hole flanging and molding. Nowadays many manufacturers in China still stick to the traditional production methods which cause the efficiency and heavy labor of workers. Due to that, the competitiveness of domestic companies is undermined in the world market.This thesis introduces an automatic transmission system with speed bars applied in stamping production with multiple processes. It can transfer materials and position effectively. The main contents of this paper are as follows.Firstly the research about manufacturing technique for side planet of air conditioners has been done[6]. Based on analysis of operating modes and design features as well as requirements for delivery of materials, the paper put forward the operating mechanism and design project for the automated delivery system.Secondly, based on the overall plan, this paper analyzes and designs as well as calculates all mechanical components, such as blank lift platform, rest standing among, Beam support Taiwan, motion crossbeam, Beams drive Taiwan in the delivery system.Thirdly, the research and design on hydraulic system and pneumatic vacuum system have been done in this paper. The paper analyzes operational characteristics for and draws up operating principles for hydraulic system as well as calculates relevant data for key components. The operational characteristics for pneumatic vacuum system have been profiled and the fundamental diagram has been confirmed. Based on the calculation, choices for key components such as vacuum chuck and vacuum generator have been done.Fourthly, research design for control system in the transmission system is introduced in this paper. According to features of controlled objects and control system, the control system centering on PLC has been chosen and hardware connection has been determined as well as software program has been finished.At last the contribution of this paper for further research is presented.
