Blows oxygen converter steel-making has become a leading method in the word. The chimney of converter is one of the main equipment in steel-making factories. The chimney of converter changes with smelting process rapidly and periodically. In the runtime, the chimney suffers a very brutal condition and brings a severe damage which is mainly the explosion of the tube and water leakage. The work condition of the movable chimney is much worse. As a result, the life time of the movable chimney is just one year and in the life time, there are so many accidents that examining and repairing must be done regularly. The normal order and step of the production are broken down and this results in a great economic loss.In this paper, the research object is the cooling water pipes of the movable converter. Depending on the failure mechanisms, one reason causing the failure of movable converter cooling water pipes is that the pipes are under a condition of high temperature which is far out of the normal requirements that is due to bad water cycle. It reduces the lifetime of movable chimney. According to that, this paper carried on the heat transfer mathematical model establishment according to the reason to the cooling duct, it has carried on the radiation heat transfer and the haze and the membrane-type wall outer wall convection heat transfer including the haze to the pipeline surface, the film type cools the wall the stable state heat conduction, the membrane-type water cooling wall and the cooling water counter-flow heat transfer, the heat transfer quantity carries on the examination, check the heat exchanging. In the case of ensuring the heat exchanging, apply FLUENT to analysis the temperature and flow file of movable chimney cooling water, to find out the reason that the water flows badly cycle and local temperature are too high. And according to the causing that the failures of pipes make the feasibility of program, make sure that the smooth progress of production. Analyze the simulation of the modified movable fume hood and proved the feasibility of rehabilitation programs.
