With the increasingly prominent air quality problems in recent years,the issue of domestic fumes emission has drawn more and more attention.Edible oil after boiling at high temperature will produce a series of harmful and even carcinogenic substances like volatile organic compounds(VOCs),nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides,which not only pollute the environment but also cause some damage to the respiratory system and tissues of the human.Range hood,as a home appliance dealing with cooking fumes,has long been home to millions of households in the country has a very high penetration rate,to ensure that the exhaust performance under the premise of improving hood soot purification capabilities,thereby reducing the atmospheric pollution is an urgent task.This research project relies on the company's applied research project,to achieve a dual target of a range hood with an air volume of 17.5m3/min and an grease separation of 92%or more,so as to achieve the goal of reducing emissions and protecting the environment.First of all,by analyzing the working principle of smoke extractor and fume characteristics and purifying mechanism,the idea of grid-type air collector is put forward,which solves the defect of air flow disorder and uneven pressure distribution at the inlet of traditional fan system.Secondly,the orthogonal experiment of air volume and grease separation was designed.The results of air volume and grease separation at three different levels of grid thickness,grid slope and grid spacing were obtained by CFD simulation and actual test.Through the visual analysis,the influence of grid structure parameters on the air volume,the difference of grease separation and the influence of structural changes on the two indexes were obtained.The optimum grid structure parameters were determined by the comprehensive balance method.Finally,a test platform was set up to assemble the grid-type air collector into the machine.According to the national standard GB/T 17713,the air volume and grease separation under the actual conditions were tested,the air volume is 1/.68 m3/min and the grease separation is 93.4%,compared with the traditional air collector,grease separation increased by nearly 3%.The final grid-type air collector solution fulfilled the expected project goals well,and patented the research results.The data obtained in the course of the study and the results of the visual analysis,can provide an effective theoretical and data basis for the development of the company's core technology for the range hood fan system,and will help to improve the development efficiency and design effect of the next generation of highly efficient range hoods.
