More and more heteromorphous surfaces are involved in mold manufacture and traditional processing methods cannot realize its finishing. Aiming at this problem, a new precision finishing method based on solid-liquid two phase softness abrasive flow is brought forward in this paper. The core technology of this method is fluid carrying abrasive to the formation of turbulence in the constraint flow channel and softly disorderly cutting the in heteromorphous surfaces to achieve finishing. Therefore, the study of the characteristics of the turbulent flow field is instructive to realize turbulence regulation.In allusion to study the characteristics of the turbulent flow field of the softness abrasive flow method, a phase field model is brought forward in this paper. Based on the method, the solving of the interface of particle group in the soft abrasive flow and the numerical simulation of the movement in the flow passage are realized. This paper explores the impact of the characteristics of the turbulent flow field, such as pressure and speed. Specific research contents are as follows:(1) Based on the survey of finishing methods at home and abroad, the turbulence model, two-phase flow field theory model and numerical simulation techniques for the numerical simulation of the soft abrasive flow machining were discussed, and reviewed the phase-field model.(2) Built a physical model of the soft abrasive flow machining method:Analyzed Reynolds stress transport model and algebraic stress model, and κ-ε model were chosen from algebraic stress model to be the turbulence model in this numerical simulation. Analyzed the basic equations of two-phase flow movement, and in the description of the equations, the phase field model was introduced.(3) Discussed incompressible two-phase flow field phase field model, and a Fourier spectral method was proposed and analyzed to achieve a phase-field model of the semi-implicit compatibility time discrete. Numerical simulation of various incompressible two-phase flow field through the use of phase-field model verified the rationality of phase field model.(4) Analyzed the two-phase field characteristics of soft abrasive flow based on the phase-field model:first discussed machining cutting mechanism of soft abrasive flow, and used phase-field model to simulate the process of particle group into the flow channel in different size of DC Road. Through the analysis of the velocity field and pressure, the state of motion and flow field characteristics of the particle group were described accurately, and studied the cutting effect of the particle group in different sizes runner with the Preston equation. Final soft abrasive flow observing and machining experiments verify the correctness of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.This study provided a new theoretical tool for the analysis of the turbulent flow field, and provided a new way to achieve turbulence regulation for soft abrasive flow.
