China is the largest chemical fiber producing country. China generates more than half of global chemical fiber production for many years. Chemical fiber industry has made significant contributions to the rapid economic growth. With the rising cost of human resources, saving manpower, reducing the space occupied and saving energy have become the mainstream of the development of the chemical fiber equipment. At present, large quantities of chemical fiber equipment is obsolete and complicated, and takes up many human resources and space resources, which greatly limits the development of enterprises. Therefore, the improvement of the original equipment control has become the urgent problems.The development situation and prospects of viscose filament are analyzed in this paper. Combining the requirements of enterprise development, this article designed remote control protocol converter for chemical fiber winding machine to achieve centralized operation and remote monitoring. Firstly, this paper introduces the development of chemical fiber industry of China. Secondly, the chemical fiber winding machine remote control protocol converter design method is presented, including the embedded control system, the remote communication system, and the monitoring system. The embedded control system based on the SmartFusion chip and USB communication program design are emphasized. Share memory is used to avoid the system memory overuse. Finally, the design of the converter is summarized, and the subsequent improvement direction is suggested in this paper. The design target of the converter is to establish a good foundation for the realization of large-scale remote centralized control of the winding machine.Remote control protocol converter winding machine has passed the enterprise project acceptance. Acceptance test results show that the converter can realize remote real-time monitoring of the winding machine. In the actual production process, monitoring system can effectively reduce the number of monitoring personnel. At the same time, the design idea and system architecture can also be used for other field equipment upgrades, which provides a feasible way to further reduce production costs.
