Research On The Construction And Application Of Evaluation Index System Of Enterprise Environmental Performance

The rapid development of economy has brought the progress of human society, but also brought a series of environmental pollution problems at the same time. Environmental problem has become one of the barriers in the development of human society economic activities.To evaluate enterprise environmental performance can promote enterprises to strengthen pollution control and ecological protection, improve the enterprises’ environmental management system, improve market competitiveness, and achieve the sustainable development of economy and society.To implement enterprise environmental performance evaluation has greatly attracted attention of international society.International organization has formulated two standards on environmental performance evaluation (ISO14031environmental performance evaluation standard and ecological benefit assessment standard).Although the domestic scholars have studied on enterprise environmental performance evaluation and construction, but they has not yet formed comprehensive enterprise environmental performance evaluation system.In this background, the in-depth research on our country enterprise environmental performance evaluation system has important theoretical and practical significance.//The thesis includes six parts.The first part is the introduction, which introduces the background, the purpose and the significance, the idea and method of the research.//Chapter2is a theoretical review of enterprise environmental performance evaluation. This part introduces the related concepts of enterprise environmental performance evaluation and assessment content, international and domestic environment performance evaluation standards. The third part is investigation on the present research fruits of enterprise environmental performance evaluation. This part is analysis on domestic and international current situation of enterprise environmental performance evaluation. In-depth discussion was made on the problems of enterprise environmental performance evaluation.The fourth part discusses the construction of enterprise environmental performance evaluation index system. Firstly, the connotation, characteristics and measure framework of enterprise environmental performance evaluation index system have been examined. Secondly, a set of feasible evaluation index system was studied on the basis of existing research in order to adapt to all kinds of enterprise environmental performance evaluation. The firth party discusses the application of enterprise environmental performance evaluation index system. Four lead-acid battery enterprises were examined as examples in SuZhou. Basic index data was got through field investigating. Then the principal component analysis method was used to examine the index system through empirical research, which aims to demonstrate the rationality and suitability of the index system.The sixth part is the conclusions and recommendations. The research results were summarized. The shortage of the study and future work needs further study were explained, as well as countermeasures were suggested to solve the problems that the government and companies faced when they implement environmental performance evaluation.
