Since the80’s of20th century,laser cutting technology has been widely used inindustrial fields and achieved rapid development,as a kind of advanced materialsprocessing technology, it puts forward higher requirements to put forward higherrequirements. But the current laser equipments have some weaknesses such as largesize,high price and so on. therefore the development of a small size, economical laserequipment is particularly important.In this paper, starting from the characteristics of new type laser cutting equipment,respectively from two aspects of hardware and software to realize the whole controlsystem.Hardware: Design on the GALIL control card as the core of the four axes servocontrol system, complete the selection of hardware, the design of the whole part, wiring,debugging work, and it well meets the accuracy requirements of the process. In thispaper, the design of laser cutting equipment is a set of CCD images, automatic controltechnology, fiber lasers in one advanced manufacturing equipment, the control system isthe core of the entire device, it adopts the industrial control computer, PLC, servo motors,linear motors and GALIL Motion control card together to realize the whole equipmentcontrol system.Software: using VC to write the PC control software,it used to control equipment forcutting and processing the product. Main functions: the serial port and Ethernet datacommunication,, the electric motor to zero reset operation, the CCD image display, theresetting on each axis, manual control movement of each axis, I/O port and the devicemonitoring, laser parameters and system parameters, Z axis automatically find coke, etc.,the practice has proved that the system is running well.
