Pneumatic conveying is a kind of transmission method, which uses the energy of theairflow to transport granular material in the direction of airflow in a sealing pipe. Now days,pneumatic conveying has been widely used in the mine mining, the port of loading andunloading, building materials transportation and food transportation etc. Due to the progressof the manufacturing process, pneumatic conveying technology has a new development. Thedevice of pneumatic conveying has many advantages such as simple structure, highautomation, is helpful for protecting the environment, but also has some disadvantages: wornparts, power consumption, granular material easily damaged.Pipeline is a very important part of the pneumatic conveying equipment in the wholetransport system. Suck mechanism is exactly the key part of the pipeline, whose structure andlayout have a great impact on some performance of the transport system, such as: dynamicperformance, stable performance and economic benefits etc. There are many kinds of factorshave the influence on transmission efficiency and the stability of the pipe flow of Pneumaticship unloader, the material feeding efficiency of suction nozzle is one of the most importantfactors. A third pressure loss of the whole system is in the suction nozzle. Therefore, the studyof the structure performance and working principle is very meaningful.In this thesis, conducted in suction nozzle of pneumatic ship unloader, I have learned thefluid dynamics theory, established the basic control equations and mathematical model for theinternal fluid flow of the suction nozzle; established the3d model of the suction nozzle inapplying Pro/E software; partition the model grid by Gambit software; imported the file andsimulate the flow of suction nozzle through the fluid simulation software Fluent; finallycompared and analyzed the simulation results, including only gas phase flow field simulationand gas-solid two-phase flow simulation, analyzed results (such as the transmission speed,pressure changing, air and solid concentration and pressure loss etc) in detail, and to researchfluid flow of the suction nozzle in depth.In this paper, the suction nozzle types is the double barrel type, I analyzed the influenceon suction nozzle internal flow field, in addition to the transportation speed, delivery pressureand other factors, researched the size of second wind path of the suction nozzle. The purposeis to optimize the effective ventilated area of the second wind path in distinguishing task, toimprove the transmission efficiency, and to reduce energy losses. If the second wind path area were changed, I need to establish the model by Pro/E software and to simulate again.
