Objective:To survey the current situation and factors of the nurses’career self-management and professional identity during the exploration stage, and to explore the influencing of the career self-management in the third-grade class A general hospitals in Taiyuan, and provide the basis for the nurses career management and education; The nurses during the exploration stage carried out the career planning training, and analyzed the counseling effects, forming an effective way on nurses’career planning training during the exploration stage. In order to provide a set of referable and operational career management counseling methods for nurses during the exploration stage.Objects and Methods:This research includes two parts, survey research and intervention study. In survey research, using convenience sampling method, for216clinical nurses of3third-grade class A general hospitals in Taiyuan conducted questionnaire survey,216questionnaires were given totally, and210questionnaires were taken back. The recovery rate is97%.Four invalid questionnaires were excluded, and there are206valid questionnaires. The effective rate is98%.The questionnaires include general information questionnaire,"Individual Career Management Scale" and "Professional Identity Scale". Use SPSS17.0statistical software to analysis the data. These methods included descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance, multiple regression analysis.In the intervention study,82nurses during the exploration stage from one of the third-grade class A general hospitals in Taiyuan were selected as research object by recruiting and personal interviews. Followed by randomization group,42nurses were in experimental group, and40were in control group. The experimental group took part in the counseling4times, and tests were used before and after the counseling by "Individual Career Management Scale" and "Professional Identity Scale"-Using SPSS17.0statistical software to analysis the data, these methods included χ2-test and t-test.Results:1The results of the reliability and validity test of the Individual Career Management Scale(1) Reliability:The overall scale Cronbach Alpha coefficient is0.822, from the fist dimension to the five, the Cronbach Alpha coefficients are0.818,0.856,0.778,0.702and0.581. The odd-even reliability is0.901, and the test-retest reliability coefficient which is0.843is got by that the measurements of the same30nurses were repeated after one week.(2) Content validity:The content validity of the surface is0.911by5specialists consultation. 山西医科大学硕士学位论文The results show that the questiounaire has good reliability and validity, and it can be used in the groups of nurses.2Survey results:(1)The scores of "Individual Career Management Scale" and "Professional Identity Scale":The Individual Career Management Scale was (48.86±7.15), and the scoring percentage is67.86%. The Professional Identity Scale was (102.57±14.96), and the scoring percentage is68.38%.(2)The influence factors of the individual career management for nurses during the exploration stage:Different age, education, marital status, career self-management of the nurse score was statistically significant (P<0.05); In the regression analysis, education and marital status were the important effect factors.3Experimental results:There were significantly differences in nurses’individual career management and professional identity between the experimental group and the control group (P<0.05); before and after intervention, the differences of scores on nurses’individual career management and professional identity in the experimental group were statistically significant (P<0.05), while those of the control group had no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion:1In this research of the current situation, the Individual Career Management Scale was (48.86±7.15), and the Professional Identity Scale was (102.57±14.96).It is necessary to carry out the career planning training for the nurses during the exploration stage.2Education and marital status were the important effect factors, and in the career education, nurses and nursing managers should pay more attention to the influence factors about career development.3The method of targeted career planning training would effectively enhance the level of nurses’individual career management and professional identity during the exploration stage.
