Clinical research on60Patients with the CSR by Acupuncting Fengchi (GB20), Wangu (GB12), Yanglao(SI6) and Dazhui (DU14) for treatment objectiveIntroductionCervical radicular disease is most common in cervical spondylosis, the highest incidence of type. Typical symptoms of CSR is pain in the neck, neck stiff, upper extremity radiating pain or numbness, a feeling of heaviness of upper limb, appear to hold things fall, etc.Currently, the treatment of CSR include surgery and conservative treatment. But there are very few patients line with indications for surgery. The conservative treatment of CSR is Widely accepted by patients, which Includes acupuncture, traction, traditional chinese medicine, etc.ObjectiveThe aim of the study was to observe the recent and forward curative effect and safety of the cervical spondylotic rRadiculopathy treated with Fengchi(GB20), Wangu (GB12), Yanglao(SI6) and Dazhui (DU14).Methods60patients were randomly divided into experimental and control group30cases. All patiensts included out-patient in Wangjing Hospital from2011.6to2011.12.The statistical analysis of the test group and control group patients by age, course of disease and the baseline of observed indicators such as signs and symptoms scale had no significant difference.Therefore.the two groups were comparable. The patients in the test group were treated with acupuncting at Fengchi(GB20), Wangu (GB12), Yanglao(SI6) and Dazhui (DU14).as while the control group were treated by gravity traction. In both two groups.regard2weeks as a treatment course and the treatment would be done once every two days.ResultsThe comparison of symptom score in every groupThe symptoms of CSR could be improved by both the test group and the control group. There were no differences between the two groups on the score of signs and symptomsscale before treatment (P>0.05). Score was significantly reduced after treatment. By the paired t-test, there was significant differences before and after treatment in every group (P<0.01). Every symptom could be improved by the two treatments. Analyze the11symptoms separately by paired t-test, there were extremely significant differences in10symptoms in the treatment group and8symptoms in the control group (P<0.01); there were significant differences in1symptom in the test group and2symptoms in the control group (P<0.05)The comparison of clinical efficacy between the two groupsThe clinical efficacy of the test group was better than the control group. Differences between the two groups showed statistical significance (P<0.05)The total efficiency of the test group is higher than that in the control group. The total effective rate was86.67%, and73.33%in control group. Differences between the two groups showed statistical significance. The comparison of long-term efficacy between the two groupsThe long-term efficacy of the test group was better than the other group. Compare the score of after-treatment and3months follow-up, there were significant differences in the test group but no differences in the control group.Differences of the score between the two groups showed statistical significance.ConclusionCilical study proves that the effect of the acupucting Fengchi(GB20), Wangu (GB12), Yanglao(SI6) and Dazhui (DU14) in treating CSR was sign. The acupucting Fengchi(GB20), Wangu (GB12), Yanglao(SI6) and Dazhui (DU14) in treating CSR was better than gravity traction. The long-term efficacy of acupucting Fengchi(GB20), Wangu (GB12), Yanglao(SI6) and Dazhui (DU14) in treating CSR was better than gravity traction.
