| The plant Abelmoschus esculentusl (L.) Moench, family Malvaceae, is an annual herb, known as okra, another name is Ladies’ Fingers in India as its pods are long and thin. In China, Japan and America, it is called Plant Viagra. It originated from Africa, distribute throughout the tropical, subtropical and warmer regions, and wss introduced to our country in the early 1990. The edible part of Okra is its pods, the pods are used as vegetables and traditional medicines. Okra has effects of treating strangurg, relieving sore throat, promoting lactation and regulating menstruation as it is mild and cold-natured. The flower, fruit, seeds and the root, all of them have good effects on furuncle and carbuncle. Besides, Okra has antioxidant activity, anti-ulcer activity and anti-fatigue activity, as well as gastric mucosal protection activity and body resistance enhancement activity. It is reported that the main chemical components isolated from its flower contain Flavonoids, Amino Acid, Proteins, Sterides, Volatile Organic Compounds, and fatty acid and so on. Literature research found that researches on Okra domestic and abroad have increased year by year, and the fields involved are more and more widely, however the study is mainly concentrated in the agricultural, food, gardening ecology etc.. So far, we have already studied the chemical components of its petroleum ether fraction, n-butyl alcohol fraction and its water fraction, and have isolated 54 copounds, including Amino Acids, Organic Acids, the Steroids and the Flavonoids. In order to improve our research on its chemical compositions, the study on chemical constituents of chloroform fraction of Okra’s alcohol extract was carried out and summaried in this thesis. In this study,19 compounds were isolated from chloroform fraction of 95% EtOH extraction of Okra by silica gel, MCI, Sephadex LH-20, recrystallization, and so on. According to their Physical and Chemical Constants and their spectral data (1H-NMRã€13C-NMRã€HSQCã€HMBCã€MS), the structures of 14 compounds were identified asβ-sitosterol (1), Daucosterol(2),3β-acetoxyl-19,21-epoxy-Lupeol (4), 3β-acetoxyl-9,18-dihydroxy-olean-12-ene (5), Stigmast-5-ene-3β,7α-diol (7), Ursolic acid (9), Dammar-24-ene-3β-acetate-20-ol (10), Dammarane-3/β,25-diol,20, 24-epoxy-3-acetate/Ocotillol acetate (11), a-monpalmitin (12), Cleomiscosin C (13), iso-bauerenyl acetate (14), Scopoletin (15), Syringarenol (16), Liriodendrin (17). Among them, nine compounds are obtained from the plant for the first time except compound 1,2,7,12 and compound 15, compound 4 and 5 were new compounds. |
