This article studies the level of serum vitamin D in patients from wards of department of rheumatology. And the risk factor of the level of serum vitamin D.In the same time, the article analysis the reasons and pathogenesis of rheumatoid diseases from the angle of TCM(traditional Chinese medicine).There are three parts as follows:The first part is a review of knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine of rheumatoid diseases and deficiency of vitamin D. And the treatments of this situation in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In sum of experts’opinions, it is the cardinal basement to maintain the regular movement of human bones and joints that kidney contain the essence and control the bones. Deficiency of kidney essence is the most indispensable reason of rheumatoid diseases and less of bone density. Traditional Chinese Medicine has made a remarkable result in treatments of osteoporosis.The second part is the review of modern medicine. It draws a conclusion of the important role vitamin D plays in pathogenesis of rheumatoid diseases. And the biological functions of vitamin D. Recent studies showed that the vitamin D could bring the immunology part in diseases.The third part is a clinical study:Objective:To observe the level of serum vitamin D in patients from wards of department of rheumatology, which testified the evidence of treating patients in rheumatoid diseases by using vitamin D.Subjects and Methods:A total of107cases of rheumatoid diseases patients from wards completed the study during the period from January to March2011. Test the level of serum vitamin D and TRACP-5b by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay herein. In the same lime, test the level of serum Ca+, P. ESR, CRP, IgG, then analysis the data by software SPSS17.0.Results:Total107cases contain27male and80female cases which years old from16to85. on an average of51.8+16.6. The normal level of serum vitamin D cases are only18(16.8%) names90.6%cases have deficiency of vitamin I). And the severe lack of vitamin D are18(16.8%), medium lack of vitamin I) are51(47.7%),minor lack of vitamin I) are30(28.0%).And the sum is low than healthy people obviously.Conclusion:Most patients in rheumatology department are lack of vitamin D. which are vulnerable to osteoporosis. That may related to less activity and hurt of bones from the diseases. Rheumatologist should let the patients take in enough vitamin I) reasonable, and test the bone density in time.
