Meta Analysis Of Xuebijing Injection In The Treatment Of Sepsis

Objective: To evaluate the effects of Xuebijing Injection on white blood cell count (WBC), plasma levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF alpha), platelet count (Plt) in patients with sepsis.Therefor,this study can give a clue to the relatively reliable TCM reginmen in the evidence-based medicine.Methods:RCTs were identified (2008Jan-2011Sep) by multiple data-base electronic search (CNKI、VIP、WangFang).The studies were chosed according to the criteria of selection and extraction,and analyzed by the RevMan4.2.9Meta analysis.Results:18studies met our inclusion criteria. Meta analysis results show that, compared with the control group, the treated group WBC counts down [OR=-1.87,95%CI (-2.92,0.81), P<0.0001], TNF-a concentration decreased [OR=-5.67,95%CI (-6.63,-4.75), P<0.0001], Plt count down [OR=6.58,95%CI (4.01,9.16), P<0.0001].Conclusions:the treatment group which used the Xuebijing injection in the treatment of sepsis, the plasma WBC count, TNF-a concentration decreased significantly, Pit counts down.However,because of the on limitation included trial numbers and defects on methodology,the Meta-analysis conclusions may be not that convincing enough.Multicenter,randomized,blinding and controllde teials in high quality need to be carried out for further confirmed study.
