Twenty endophytic fungi were isolated from the healthy phloem and xylem of the stem of Dracaena cambodiana. Among them, thirteen sporulated fungi were identified and morphologically classified into one order, two families and six genera. They were Penicillium, Penicilliopsis, Acremonium, Aureobasidium, Staphylotrichum and Fusarium respectively. Penicillium, Acremonium, and Fusarium were the dominant genus of endophytic fungus from Dracaena cambodiana. The other seven strains were tentatively identified as Mycelia sterilia.Eleven compounds were isolated and purified from the broth of endophytic fungus A12by column chromatography, and their chemical structures were identified by physicochemical and spectral data as:1α,7α-dihydroxyconfertifolin (1), cytidine (2), uridine (3),p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid (4),p-hydroxyphenethyl alcohol (5), uracil(6), desacetylaustin(7), thiomethisosildenafil(8),1α,7α-dihydroxyconfertifolin (9), phenazine-1-carboxamide (10) and4-methylpyrazole-3(5)-carboxylic acid (11)。 All the compounds were isolated from the strain of endophytic fungus from Dracaena cambodiana for the first time. Among them, compound1is a new compound. The bioactivities of all the strains and the compounds were assayed using paper disco diffusion method. The bioactivities assay result indicated that4strains showed inhibitory effects on Staphylococcus aureus and MASR, and20strains have no cytotoxic activities. Compounds4,5,9, and10showed inhibitory effects on MRSA. The cytotoxic activities of all the compounds were assayed by MTT method. None of the compounds exhibited cytotoxic activities against SMMC-7721, SGC-7901, and K562cell lines.
