| Objective:To investigate the expressions of AIB1ã€ID1and NF-Kb in gastriccarcinoma, and their significances for the clinicopathology. And to discuss theirrelationship. At the same time, to analysis whether the expression of AIB1, ID1andNF-Kb, and the clinicopathologic parameters play a role in the prognosis of patientswith gastric cancer.Methods:Eighty-eight gastric carcinoma samples were obtained from Department ofPathology, Bengbu Medical college(from2004to2005). Immunohistochemistry wasemployed to detect the expressions of AIB1ã€ID1and NF-Kb in gastric carcinomatissues(n=88) and Para-cancerous tissues(n=85). And their correlations were analyzed.Log-rank single regression and Cox multiple regression are used to analysis16clinicopathologic parameters that may affect the prognosis of gastric cancer patients.Results:1)The positive rates for AIB1ã€ID1and NF-Kb expression in88gastriccarcinoma samples were75%ã€63.6%and72.7%,respectively. Which were allsignificantly higher than those in85Para-cancerous tissues (all P<0.05),2)Thepositive rates of AIB1protein was significantly associated with the lymph nodemetastasis and clinical stages (all P <0.05),but was not associated with sexã€ageã€sizeof tumorã€gross typeã€degree of differentiationã€depth of tumor infiltrationã€Lauren typeand so on(all P>0.05). The positive rates of ID1protein was significantly associatedwith the lymph node metastasisã€clinical stagesã€gross type and depth of tumorinfiltration (all P <0.05),but was not associated with sexã€ageã€size of tumorã€degreeof differentiationã€Lauren type and so on(all P>0.05). The positive rates of NF-Kbprotein was significantly associated with the lymph node metastasis and degree ofdifferentiation (all P <0.05),but was not associated with sexã€ageã€size of tumorã€gross typeã€depth of tumor infiltrationã€clinical stagesã€Lauren type and so on.(all P>0.05).3) There was a remarkable positive correlation between AIB1and NF-Kb expression in gastric carcinoma(r=0.236,P=0.027<0.05). There was no statisticalcorrelation between the expression of AIB1and ID1(r=0.000,P=1.000), and ID1expression had no correlation with NF-Kb expression(r=ï¼0.39, P=0.721)。4)Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the expression of AIB1ã€ID1andNF-Kb protein all had no correlation with the survival rate of the patients(all P>0.05).5) Log-rank analysis showed that: invasion, lymph node metastasis and clinical stagehave relation with prognosis of gastric cancer (all P<0.05), but the age, gender, tumorsize, gross type, differentiation,Lauren classification and so on were not associatedwith prognosis of gastric cancer(all P>0.05). The Cox multivariate regressionanalysis showed that: invasion and lymph node metastasis have independentprognostic significance (all P<0.05).Conclusion:1)AIB1ã€ID1and NF-Kb are abnormally higher expressed in gastriccarcinoma, which may contribute to the tumor genesisã€invasion and metastasis. Thecombined detection of AIB1ã€ID1and NF-Kb may have potential significance inprognosis prediction of gastric carcinoma.2) There was positive correlation betweenAIB1and NF-Kb, they may have some dependency or relevance, and led to thegenesis and development of gastric cancer together, NF-Kb may promote tumordevelopment by up regulating the expression of AIB1.3) ID1may take part in theprogression of gastric carcinoma not through or indirectly through the NF-Kb path, ormay be a upstream factor of the NF-Kb path.4) The positive expression of AIB1,ID1and NF-Kb were all significantly associated with the lymph node metastasis (all P<0.05), which shows that they may affect the lymph node metastasis through acertain path of mutual regulation in the process of gastric carcinoma.5) Depth ofinvasion, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage can affect the prognosis of gastriccancer patients, invasive depth and lymph node metastasis were independentprognostic factors of gastric cancer patients. |
