Objective:This study was designed to observe the clinical therapeutic effect ofchronic fatigue syndrome of the spleen and kidney deficiency type with Jun-Li-Jian.Methods:According to the diagnostic criterion of CFS established in1987andamended in1994by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control,we choose CFS patients60caseswhich consistent with the TCM syndrome diagnostic criteria of the spleen and kidneydeficiency type. Patients were divided into the test group and control group randomly, atotal of two group of30cases;and selected healthy volunteers28cases at random. The testgroup were treated with Jun-Li-Jian and the control group were treated with Guipi Pillsboth on the basic treatment of the education of the healthy mode of life and altering the lifestyle. Then observe the change of symptom score, NK cell and score of FAI before andafter the treatment of two groups.Results:(1) The total effective rate of the test group was89.66%,and in the control group thetotal effective rate was75.86%.The points of Traditional Chinese Medician SymptomAccumulated and Fatigue Assessment Instrument(FAI) decreased significantly of the twogroups in pretherapy and posttherapy. After treatment, there is a great statisticalsignificance between the two groups and group comparison before and after treatment(P<0.05).The natural killer cells of the two groups increased significantly in pretherapy andposttherapy. After treatment, there is a great statistical significance between the two groupsand group comparison before and after treatment(P<0.05).(2) Safety inspection shows that the blood, urine and stool routine examination, test of the liver and kidney functions, basal metabolism heart rate, blood pressureand and theelectrocardiographic examination of the test group showed normal findings in pretherapyand posttherapy. So we can draw a conclusion that Jun-Li-Jian is safe for clinicalapplication. Conclusion: Results showed Jun-Li-Jian had better clinical effects than Guipi Pills intreating chronic fatigue syndrome of the spleen and kidney deficiency type. Jun-Li-Jiancan alleviate physical fatigue and improve the life quality of CFS patients. It is good atcurative effect and worth clinical spread application.
