Clinical Study On Treating The Rapid Arrhythmia Of Qi And Yin Deficiency Type With Traditional Chinese Medicine And Acupuncture Treatment

Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect of Pingxindingjitang supplementedby acupuncture with the function of enriching qi nourishing yin calming the heart and mindto treat the rapid arrhythmia of qi and yin deficiency type.Method:60patients were seperated into two groups stochastically (acupuncture curegroup30and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) with acupuncture cure group30). Theobservation treating course were eight weeks with drugs applying separately. Theacupuncture cure group used acupuncturing the “lingtai” and “shendao”points; The TCMwith acupuncture cure group applied the Pingxindingjitang(The prescription shengdi30gxuanshen15g maidong30g dangshen30g wuweizi12g danshen30g huangqi30gchuanhuanglian15g kushen15g gansong30g guizhi9g zhigancao9g. boiled with water oneday one dose) supplemented by acupuncture to treat qi and yin deficiency type. TheTCM symptom tongue and pulse changes were observed during the treating course.Result:In the total curative effect the obvious efficiency of the acupuncture curegroup was33.33%and the total effectiveness was83.33%;The TCM with acupuncturecure group respectively was36.67%and86.67%.The two groups had non-statisticsdifferences (p>0.05).The TCM with acupuncture group appeard obvious differences on the5groups of symptoms after the treatment(p<0.01) such as palpitation, chest distress,dizziness, weakness and insomnia. After the treatment the acupuncture cure group showedevdent differences on the4symptoms of palpitation, chest distress, dizziness and weakness(p>0.05),bur did not on insomnia (p<0.01).The total effectiveness for critically ill patientsof the TCM with acupuncture cure group was66.67%,obviously higher than theacupunctuer cure group(20.00%). Conclusion:The total curative effect of the TCM(Pingxindingjitang) withacupuncture treating rapid arrhythmia appeard no remarkable difference with theacupuncture cure group, of which the TCM symptoms improved obviously. The TCM withacupuncture cure had obviously relieved the TCM symptoms such as palpitation, chestdistress, dizziness and weakness，and had better on insomnia than acupuncture treatmentalone. When treating rapid arrhythmia patients the TCM wih acupuncture performedpreferably on light, middle and heavy one.
