Objective:To study ideas of syndrome differentiation about non-erosive reflux disease (NERD) as well as the experience of clinical treatment; to observe and objectively assess the clinical therapeutic effect of YiQi Shuge tang decoction on patients with NERD of stagnation of Liver Qi and spleen deficiency pattern type; to provide some concrete ideas and reference bases for the traditional Chinese medicine treatment of NERD; To elucidate clinical evidence for TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment on NERD of stagnation of Liver Qi and spleen deficiency pattern type; to monitor the reocurrent rate of NERD after the suspension of treatment respectively.Method:30patients with NERD were diagnosed by receiving gastroscopy and filling in GerdQ as well as the questionnaire of clinical symptomatic grading and quantifying with GERD of stagnation of Liver Qi and spleen deficiency pattern type, from which the cases of coincidence diagnosis then fill in the SAS and SDS; these cases were giving the basic treatment and YiQi Shuge tang decoction for continuous4weeks; refill in the questionnaire of clinical symptomatic grading and quantifying with GERD of stagnation of Liver Qi and spleen deficiency pattern type, SAS, SDS after2weeks,4weeks taking medicine respectively, evaluate the response to treatment through the self control test method; and then observe the recurrence after drug withdrawal for2weeks and4weeks by filling in the above questionnaire and scales investigations. Results:The scores of TCM syndrome, main symptoms and secondary symptoms all decreased significantly (p<0.001) after2weeks’ treatment of YiQi Shuge tang decoction as well as after4weeks’. Compared with the scores of4weeks’treatment, the scores of TCM syndrome decreased significantly (p<0.001), the scores of main symptoms decreased and the difference had statistical significance (p<0.05), and the scores of secondary symptoms showed no obvious changes (p>0.05) after drug withdrawal for2weeks. Then the scores of TCM syndrome and main symptoms decreased significantly (p<0.001) after drug withdrawal for4weeks, that of secondary symptoms decreased and the difference had statistical significance (p<0.05).The scores of characteristic symptoms decreased significantly (p<0.0045) after2weeks’treatment as well as4weeks’, while that showed no obvious changes (p>0.0045) after drug withdrawal for neither2weeks nor4weeks.The scores of single main symptoms decreased significantly after2weeks’ treatment as well as4weeks’(p<0.0045), while that showed no obvious changes after drug withdrawal for2weeks (p>0.0045). The scores of abdominal distension decreased and the difference had statistical significance (p<0.0045), scores of other single main symptoms showed no obvious changes (p>0.0045) after drug withdrawal for r4weeks.The scores of SDS and SAS decreased significantly after2weeks’treatment and also4weeks’(p<0.001). The scores of SDS decreased and the difference had statistical significance (p<0.05) after drug withdrawal for2weeks, while that of SAS showed no obvious changes (p>0.05). The scores of SDS then decreased significantly (p<0.01) after drug withdrawal for4weeks, and that of SAS also decreased and the difference had statistical significance (p<0.05).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome were46.67%and90%at2weeks and4weeks; the total effective rate of main symptoms were46.67%and83.33%at2weeks and4weeks; the total effective rate of characteristic symptoms were46.67%and93.33%at2weeks and4weeks; the total effective rate of secondary symptoms were30%and87.67%at2weeks and4weeks.The total recurrence rate of TCM syndrome were both10%after drug withdrawal for2weeks and4weeks; the total recurrence rate of main symptoms were3.33%and6.67%after drug withdrawal for2weeks and4weeks; the total recurrence rate of characteristic symptoms were both0after drug withdrawal for2weeks and4weeks; the total recurrence rate of secondary symptoms were3.33%and16.67%after drug withdrawal for2weeks and4weeks.The correlation coefficient between the score of SAS and the score of TCM syndrome was0.591, and it between the score of SDS and the score of TCM syndrome was0.562. Both the two correlation coefficients had statistical significance (p<0.001).Conclusions:YiQi Shuge tang decoction has a good clinical efficacy on treating NERD of stagnation of Liver Qi and spleen deficiency pattern type, not only improve clinical symptoms, but also improve one’s anxiety and depression.
