| Objective:To observe recent analgesic effect of warm acupuncture treatment on patients with lumbar disc herniation.Methods:60patients with lumbar disc herniation who have low back pain were enrolled and randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Two groups respectively were given with warm acupuncture and thorax-pelvis and assessed the analgesic effect. The design was small sample,single-blind, randomized, controlled clinical trial. Results:There was no drop-outs. The baseline of both groups was not found in statistical significance (P>0.05) but comparable. There is significant difference between treatment group and control group after treatment after statistical analysis (P <0.05) including VAS pain scores, degree and duration of the pain, it shows treatment group has better analgesic effect, shorter duration of the pain and less time to remove pain. However total effective rate has significance difference after statistical analysis (P<0.05) with effective rate of83.33%in treatment group and70%in control group after treatment, which means that warm acupuncture possess good short-term analgesic effect in patients suffering low back pain with the symptoms of lumbar disc herniation and improves the quality of their lives effectively at the same time. Conclusion:warm acupuncture has a good short-term analgesic effect on patients with lumbar disc herniation, and it can effectively improve the quality of life of patients. Warm acupuncture can effectively relieve pain caused by muscle spasms to achieve the purpose "Pine is not pain"... |
