Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska, Ginkgo biloba and Green tea all have good hypolipemic effect for they contain many kinds of bioactive components. With Cyclocarya paliurus(Batal.)Iljinska, Ginkgo biloba and green tea as raw materials, adopt a trial of mixture design to optimize agents of Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska compound tea. This study was conducted to investigate the hypolipemic effect of Cyclocarya paliurus(Batal.) Iljinska compound tea in vivo. The mRNA expressions of ATGL, FAS and SOD were investigated by RT-PCR to explore the effect of Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska compound tea on the heart, liver and spleen in hyperlipidemic mice. The protein expressions of ATGL, FAS and SOD were investigated by western-blot to explore the effect of Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska compound tea on the liver and adipose in hyperlipidemic mice. The results showed as follows:(1) The trial of mixture design can be effectively applied to optimize agents of Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska compound tea.(2) In the animal experiment, the Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska compound tea could significantly decrease the level of TC, TG and LDL-C in serum of mice(P<0.01or P<0.05), and could increase the HDL-C level in serum of mice; and could significantly increase the index of heart, liver, spleen and lung (P<0.005or P<0.01or P<0.05) in mice, could significantly decrease the index of adipose (P<0.01) in mice.(3) The Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska compound tea could significantly increase ATGL mRNA activities in the heart and spleen (P<0.01or P<0.05), and SOD mRNA activities in the heart and liver (P<0.005or P<0.01or P<0.05), and decrease FAS mRNA activities in the heart, liver and spleen (P<0.01or P<0.05).(4) The Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska compound tea could significantly increase the protein expression of ATGL in liver (P<0.05), and decrease the protein expression of FAS in the liver and adipose (P<0.01or P<0.05).
