Objectives:To study the the clinical efficacy of Ultramicro-Yupingfeng Pilular on Leukopenia due to (Qi-deficiency type) patients’ who after chemotherapy (chemotherapy-induced leucopenia, CIL) and its impact on cellular immunology function. Compared Ultramicro-Yupingfeng Pill and fine-Yupingfeng Pill, Verify the clinical security of Ultramicro-Yupingfeng Pill, to lay the foundation and preparations for the advanced improvement of Ultramicro-Yupingfeng Pilular. Methods:According to random, contrasting and Blinding principle, the patients were divided into two groups, namely treat group(Ultramicro-Yupingfeng Pilular, T group) and control group (fine-Yupingfeng Pill, C group).30 cases of each group. Used quantitative criteria as a means to observe the two sets of peripheral blood white blood cell count and sub-degree, T lymphocyte subsets, symptom score changes in Chinese medicine before and after treatment in patients, Chinese medicine syndromes of clinical efficacy, quality of life (KPS) score, weight and the other targets change.Results:1. Change in peripheral blood leukocytes:after treatment, two sets of peripheral blood white blood cell count were increase (P<0.05 or P<0.01); after three weeks, the treatment group was significantly higher than control group (P<0.05).2. Leukocytes before and after treatment indexing changes:each group of leukocyte sub-degrees had significantly improved (P<0.05 or 0.01), but there is not difference between the two groups (P<0.05).3. Leukopenia two clinical treatment effects:control group/treatment group healed to invalid ratio were of 16.67/30.00%、36.67/46.67%、23.33/10.00%、23.33/13.33%,total effective 76.67%, respectively,86.67%, the clinical effect of the treatment group was better than the control group(P>0.05).4. TCM symptom effects:In the control group 6 cases got clinical cure,9 cases marked effectiveness,9 cases effectiveness and 6 cases failure; the total effective rate was 80.00%.Then in the treatment group, it was 10 cases, 14 cases,3 cases and 3 cases. Chinese medicine treatment group in improving the symptoms were better than the control group (P<0.05).5. TCM symptom score compared:traditional Chinese medicine were able to significantly reduce symptoms score (P<0.01), the treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05).6. The two groups of patients with governance can improve the quality of life score and body weight (P<0.05 or 0.01), but the compared weight, quality of life and weight distribution of the two groups after treatment the difference was not significant (P>0.05).7. Peripheral blood neuter granulocyte absolute value neutrophils ratio:in the treatment group, patients neutrophil counts was significantly increased(P<0.01), better than the control group.8. Compared peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets to which before treated: after treatment, two sets of CD3+, CD4+ ratio, CD4+/CD8+ ratio increased, CD8+ ratio lower (P<0.05 or 0.01); Comparison of the all targets in two groups after treatment, with the exception of CD8+ outside, the other were statistical significance (P<0.01).9. The safety of observation:We haven’t seen any side effects in the course of clinical using of Ultramicro-Yupingfeng Pilular.Conclusions:Ultramicro-Yupingfeng Pilular could increase the patients’leucocyte of malignant tumor after chemotherapy. It could significantly improve the qi deficiency-chemotherapy-induced leukopenia patients clinical symptoms and quality of life, and can enhance patients cellular immune function. We haven’t found any clinical adverse reactions, with further value of research and development.
