| The Chinese metropolitan sculpture has been developing for more than30years since1980s. With the fastchanging of city construction, and improving of the artistic taste in the urban planning and design, In order to improve their tastes, set up their images, and satisfy people’s growing spiritual and cutural needs, during the development of urban public space, the cities are paying more attention to the design of public art and envirtonmental art. The importance of the large-scale urban sculpture of which is representative in the public art,refleted gradually in social life,as a part of overall modelling in the large-scale urban sculpture,The sculpture base is payed more and more attention by sculpture creators and landscape designers.This article mainly aims at the present situation of the devepment of sculpture base, evaluates Chinese sculpture base until today and problems of the development first, and cleares that base is an important part of the sculpture,it not only can foil statue,siove the needs of sight distance when people in oranmental sculpture;On the whole, sculpture base is also the extension of sculpture modelling,and plays a role in coordinate transition with the surrounding environment. again through to the definition, type, theme and scale of the base’s interpretation,The author elaborates that different forms of sculpture base can reflect different theme and bring people a different psychological feeling, and points that it is important and necessary to build unique art atmosphere about large-scale urban sculpture,improve the image of city and promote the development of city’s culture by base, And further it analyses the relationship between base and sculpture also public environment.meanwhile,it is conclude that base has its own art characterisitic and cultural intension. Finally with the case studying on creation practice of sculpture base, in the hope that this article will provide useful theory reference for the design of urban sculpture base. |
