The Investigation On The Phonetic Of Huanglong Dialect

The Huanglong County is located in the north of Shaanxi Province,and the southeast of Yan’an city．Huanglong dialect belongs to Guanzhong pian ofZhongyuan Mandarin．However，the study on Huanglong dialect is still at the startingstage，and no systematic research on the phonology of the Huanglong dialect havebeen made until now．Through careful field research and analysis,this article records and analyzes thephonetic of Huanglong dialect carefully，by using synchronic description primarilyand adopting the methods of both synchronic comparison and diachroniccomparison.This paper also reveals the Phonetic system of Huanglong，the laws oftone sandhi and retroflex suffixation， and summarizes the characteristics ofphonology,which provides basic materials for the research of Guanzhong dialect，and lays a foundation for comparative study about different dialects．This thesis contains six chapters． Chapter one introduces geographicalcondition， population and the historical evolution of Huanglong County，thendiscusses the internal differences．It also summarizes present research about thephonetic of Huanglong dialect．Chapter two and three depict phonetic system ofHuanglong dialect from different sides，including the consonant，the vowel， thetone，the phonetic differences between speaking and oral reading．From the side of theconsonant，the vowel and the tone,Chapter four and five compare the phonetic systemin Huanglong with the one in Chinese in mid-ancient times，as well as the one foremigration in Huanglong．Chapter six makes a list of homonyms and records thepronunciations of common words in Huanglong dialect．...
